Child Care 3 -4 Days a Week

Not sure if this seems unreasonable, but I am seeking child care for my 4 month old covering a 4 day work week from around 8-3 at $100 a week. I would prefer a childcare in their home w/ references. A very small inhome daycare is fine too. Seeking more one on one attention for my child.

What can I do next?

Hi T.,

I might be able to help you. I have a home daycare at 75 and Beltline Rd. I have a maximum of 4 children in my care at a time. I have a Mamasource listing and I also have a website:

Hello! I'm looking to take on an infant. I am a SAHM of two boys. One is full time in school and the other only goes two days a week. I'm in McKinney. If interested send me a message. I will not be homebound, so if you are wanting someone to solely stay in their home I'm not your girl. Thanks!

Not sure where you are located, but I am a sahm looking to take on a child to watch and would love to help. If you have any questions, ask away :)

Hello my name is V., I dont know if you have found anyone to care for your little one yet. If not email me back what you charge in my opinion is more than reasonable! I have over 10 years exp, & references.

Good Luck
V.

You didn't state the number of hours per day. If it is no more than 6, that might not be unreasonable. If it is a full day and your daughter will be there for 9 hours or so then you will have to pay more.

In Dallas, that's unreasonable. The market rate there for an infant is $200 a week or $50 a day from what I understand. You might have better luck finding someone to trade childcare with - but then you run into issues of different parenting styles, etc.

You can search licensed providers in your area at http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child... and then call and find out what they charge / etc. You can also view their previous inspections for any deficiencies.

In Wichita Falls, you can get a full time infant spot for $125 a week, or $30 a day - in centers. In homes, it's closer to $100 a week.

Good luck
S.
