Chevy Equinox - Yes or No for Family

Well my van has finally seen its last days and it'll cost me more than I can afford to have it fixed. We went looking tonight for a used vehicle which would be good for the family. I have a 6yo and a 2-1/2 yo to consider in this choice. Does anyone have any experience with the Chevrolet Equinox, the one I am looking at is the 2006 AWD? The vehicle is under $15K and has less than 50K miles on it. I test drove it and it handled very nice and I liked it alot. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

I would go to kbb.com (Kelly Blue Book) and put in as much info as you can to determine the value and then look for some reviews but pay attention to what part of the country the review is coming from...Good luck! M.

If you want something reliable and dependable I would buy an import.

Does the van your want to buy have a warranty on it? If you have a mechanic you trust see if you can take it to him and have him check it over. If the place or person selling it is reputable then they should not have a problem with it. Also see if you can get a carfax report on the car. Lastly,go online and see if you can pull up any information on consumers reports for this type of car. It sounds like you like the vehicle so check out all the other things you can and go for it.

Your headed in the right direction. I am a chevy girl :). I drive a Trailblazer and absolutely love it. I probally would have went for the Equinox if I didn't have a black lab to lug around places and a 5 year old. i needed the room the trailblazer gave. I say go for it.
