Cheap Office Furniture/Filing Cabinette

Hello.
I too, have been in search for a sturdy file cabinet that did not cost $200. After looking all over I finally just picked a 2-drawer cabinet from Walmart for about $40. It has an additional small drawer on top for desk accessories. So far, so good. The one I chose was slightly more expensive than the traditional 2-drawer, but they have those too. You could probably buy two of the regular ones and stack them. The managers at my work have done this and it seems the easiest way of avoiding the high cost of a 4-drawer. You might be able to put a few of those no-slip tabs in between, to reinforce stability.

Did you try Craigslist? They have alot of desk items on sale.

Try www.freecycle.com. I'll bet there are a ton of people out there trying to get RID of their old file cabinets...for free!

You can probably find something like this at a great price on www.craigslist.com.

Have you looked at garage sales-I usually see them there. Or how about Walmart.L.
