I know Samaritan Inn picks up stuff. I don't know how far they go though. Worth a try for a good charity.

Our church has a ministry called Sharing our Stuff. We collect furniture and other things and give it to people in need. They will come and pick it up from you.
The number for the gentleman in charge is ###-###-####. His name is Larry Stinson

P.,
I have also had good experiences with the Salvation Army. If you can't be home when they schedule the pick up, you can ask them if you can leave the items in the driveway and let them know where to leave the receipt.

Call ###-###-#### - I think it's a children's home and they pick up everything except mattresses, box springs and large appliances.

Salvation Army. The only downside is that they have a schedule when they come into the area and sometimes you might have to let the stuff sit in the garage a few days until they make it to your zip code area.

I have had good expereinces with them, I put everything in the garage and when they get here, they take it and give me a receipt.

Other sources I have used are the Women's Shelter but they don't always pick up. Sometimes they will send a mom who is about to move on out to her own to pick up the items and give you a receipt. We went this route with good furniture, good washer/dryer etc that had more good years left on it. It was touching to see how much these things meant to the mom who was moving into a new place to be own her own with her children.

Another option is Allen Outreach. They send the family in need to you and I was not as comfortable with that because you have no idea who might be coming to your home. They can't tell you anything about the family of course so you never know the circumstances of how they got on the ACO list and what any motives might be.

I am super cautious so I chose not to go that route.
