Cell Phone - Farmington,MI
Good morning Ladies,
I have Verizon for my cell phone service and I am looking to upgrade to one that gets the internet. Do you have the Droid (and which one) or BlackBerry that you love or hate for that matter? Which one and what do you like/dislike about it? I am sooooo on the fence and I am 7 months pregnant so I can’t make a decision for s***!
Thanks.
So What Happened?™
So, I went to the store to buy the Droid and left with the Palm Pre. Go figure. I like it enough...much better than my work BB. Thanks for the responses!

My husband has the Driod and loves it. He doesn't know how he could ever live without the thing.
One thing about Verizon, they have replaced my phone twice in this year, once my own doing, once mechanical and have been VERY GOOD with their customer service. I want my own Droid when my upgrade comes due.

I have Verizon as well and just ordered the Droid Incredible - it is probably MOST like an Iphone on the market. I played with it in the store for a long time - it works well. It takes fantastic pics with an 8 mp camera. Easy to navigate - TONS of apps on the Android market. It is all touch screen. The drawback?? It is on backorder until June!!! I can't wait to get it!! Even my 7 year old logged herself onto the Disney channel with and watched a show while we were in the Verizon store!!! I know that so many people are Iphone fans - but we have a family plan with Verizon - and getting the Incredible only cost me $99 (for a $500 plus phone) and with my data plan and other changes - it only upped my bill about $20/month.
Until I went to the store - I was thinking I would get the Motorolla Droid - I hated it in person - it is bulky and ugly and not as user friendly!
I will tell you that there are many phones that get internet - depends on what you want to do.
My current phone has mobile web access - it is a Samsung Alias - it is a great phone for talk/text - but not for photos and no apps... my teenage daughter is upgrading today to the Reality - which is a touchscreen phone - has limited web access (with the package we are getting) - so go to the store and look around!! Make sure you go to an authorized Verizon center where the phones are all acitvated for real use!!

I can't answer to Verizon service but we have been with ATT for YEARS.
We all have IPhones at our house and love them. I love access to my outlook, FB, other accounts and not have to get to my laptop to do business. When I go out of town I do not have to take my laptop which is great for me!
The IPhone has been great for us. We run our own company from home, hubby travels a LOT and we have no issues with staying in contact with each other. We can manage a new delivery or avoid a crisis due to having the IPhone. So far, we have not had connection issues with ATT. Some people say they have issues with the ATT range. I suppose that would depend on your location.
Either way, good luck

My husband & I have Blackberries (he has the touch screen & I have the pearl/flip phone) through Verizon & we love them! My mil has a Droid & as far as I know she hasn't had any complaints about it.
There will always be new technology that is better once you get your new phone, so don't sweat it. Go to Verizon & play with the phones they have.
God bless!

Both my brother and dad have verizon phone service, they both started out with the Blackberry but after a year switched to the Droid. They found that the droid and better features, easier to use (once you get the hang of it) and the blackberry seemed more like a work/calander reminder with internet.
Personal I like playing with the Droid better then Blackberry.

I don't have either of them but my sister does have the droid and I wanted to second what Gibby was saying about hanging up on people. My sister has done that too! Or it gets muted! It's a little annoying.
