Carpet Help!!!

I need some advice on the best way to completely get vomit and toothpaste out of medium height carpet.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks to all you wonderful ladies for your suggestions. Being that I'm having a garage sale this weekend and a party on Sunday, I've decided to free up my time to take care of preparations and just have Stanley Steemer come do my carpets. The vomit I feel went deeper into the carpet (there was a lot) so I did the best I could and feel better in having the professionals get it done right.

Thanks again!

Tuff Stuff - I buy it at Atwoods, over in the car interior cleaning area. It removes the most stubborn carpet stains, when I first bought it, I was able to remove some stains that were well over 5 years old.

Vomit and toothpaste, quite a combo. :P I have a small handheld DirtDevil carpet cleaner that has helped in the past. There is also some carpet foam at Walmart, can't remember the name, but it's in a bright blue canister, and it works on most things. The best way I found to get rid of stains, tho, was this: I pulled up the carpet and installed wood laminate flooring! ;)
Good luck!

I recently used WD-40 to get permanent marker out of carpet and it actually worked. I've heard it works on just about everything.
Good luck.

Try Sol-U-Mel by Melaleuca. Go to www.melaleuca.com to order it. It sold exclusively on line. It is pricey, buy will last you a VERY long time and it will get any stain or substance out of your carpet, walls, floor, anything.

We have two dogs who puke on our carpet all the time - and we use a product that I totally love - it gets the yuck out EVERYTIME!!!it's from a wholesale health and wellness company that I refer people to. I'd love to tell you how to get it - feel free to email ____@____.com

I asked my mom and she said use vinegar water and let it sit and soak in and set for about 30 minutes and then use soapy water to wash it up and rinse it and then let it dry and vacume up. You may have to scrub a little to.

My son had acid reflux a lot when he was younger. He is doing a lot better now, but he used to throw up 4 or 5 days a week...our carpet was discusting!! We cleaned it up the best we could with different carpet cleaners, etc, but it was still leaving spots. We finally went to Wal-Mart and bought a carpet cleaner. We got the one that looks like a regular vacume and they are a little more expensive...but worth it! We have used it MANY times!! It's like a professional steam cleaner came. You can also buy smaller ones that are a lot cheaper. I'm not sure if they work as good, but might be worth a try!
