We are interested in using the park and ride from South Dale Mall to the fair. Do we need a car seat or is it legal to go without one? Any ideas on a different option? Thank you :)
No carseat needed on any public form of transportation including:
bus
train
plane
taxi
limo
I've used one when I could but many many times I've skipped it or there wasn't a way to use one. The only time I've ever regretted not having a carseat is in a taxi in New York City wow they drive crazy but I've gone to the fair on a bus with my daughter plenty of times and it's a easy going drive.

In those magazines on the airplanes they have these special harnesses for children riding on public transporation. They aren't as protective as a traditional car seat but safer than a lap ride or sitting with nothing at all.
Next time you fly you could check it out or I am sure if you look online you could order one.
We just went to the fair and had no problem on the bus with our little guy. We just had him on our laps and needed to collapse his stroller and make sure it was out of the aisle. He loved being on the bus!
Nope. I am a professional bus rider. Children sit on laps. When our little girl was using a stroller, we were supposed to take her out of it and have her sit on our lap. Policy that we did not like. Otherwise we placed her and chair in w/c designated spots or in front open seat area. It may have changed. Enjoy the fair!
