Can't Remember the Name of a Book from My Childhood

I'm trying to remember the name of a book I read as a child, and all I remember is there was a babysitter who turned water from the faucets into different flavors of soda pop. I seem to recall there was something about popcorn, also.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I had a bunch of responses, and consensus is "Mr. Pudgins" by Ruth Christoffer Carlsen. Thank you to those who responded, and here's the answer for those of you who want to read it.

Thank you so much for asking this question! And Jackie G., thanks for finding it! I remembered this book as well and have thought of it many times over the years, but couldn't remember the name. I thought it was Mr. P-something, but I didn't know what the rest of it was. My daughter is old enough for it...maybe a Christmas gift.

Holy Smokes, I loved that book! What a blast from the past. Thanks for reminding me. How much fun is it to share these books with our kids. So far mine is only old enough for the pokey little puppy. Apparently I loved it as a baby. Not so much now! Thanks for reminding me!

Oh I LOVED this book too! As a kid, I couldn't think of a more fantastic thing than soda pop coming out of the FAUCET! (Come to think of it, as an adult, that would be pretty cool too!)

I Googled it and got the answer but looks like you have it already, but thanks for the memories! I am going to try and see if I can find a copy somewhere too.

I do remember what book you're talking about but can't think what the name of it was. Would you mind emailing me with the title if you find out? Thanks! K. at ____@____.com
