Candles Without the Black Soot?
I have burned Yankee, Bittersweet, Old Williamsburg, Colonial etc.... in my home and every time I do anything plastic, even in the cabinets, the filters for the house, and some other surfaces have the light black soot on it. Can anyone recommend a candle that is a safe burning candle that does not throw off that nasty stuff but has the fragrance like the others? I keep the wick down and even use a metal cover and I still have an issue with that black stuff. I like the smell in the house during the winter, that homey smell but hate the dirtiness from the candle. Thanks in advance!

I am not quite understanding your question either. But here is what i suggest, Do not ever burn a candle in confined places. I have used partylite and Ac moore candles and have never had any black smoke or soot! (some candles do leave black marks on your walls but the 2 i listed do not)! You can go to partylite.com
Good luck!

You need to burn soy candle with cotton wicks and if you don't want to buy soy just make sure the wick is all cotton. Soy candles also have a longer lasting scent that is richer.

Partylite candles dont leave any soot - and they also burn totally clean - meaning that if they are in a jar then the jar is clean when the candle is done burning - they are very nice - a friend of mine sells them - if you want her number i can get it for you - email me directly: ____@____.com.

I'm pretty sure walmart or Yankee Candle sells, -- Candle warmers??? I think that is what they are called, It's like a hot plate that you put the candle on and it melts the wax by electric heat, so it still gives off the smell, but with out the flames, Does that help you???
I never noticed a problem with soot other than on the inside of the candle jar. I might do my own comparison tests.

I am not sure that I am understanding your question. I have never had an issue with black soot! Keep the candels out of confined places. It should only be burned in an open area.
Okay........now that I am aware of what you mean.....I would suggest Keystone candles

I use soy candles, however, hot plates would work too.
