Can You Recommend a Pediatric Dermatologist in the Area? Struggles with Eczema.

Hi...I have the BEST dermatologist in the Sacramento area, but I am not sure weather they are pediatric or not.I have seen children in the office however it may be that one of my doctors partners are pediatric. If they don't, they sure will help you with a refferal. I had a skin lesion that no other doctor even wanted to deal with, after being passed around I finally was referred to her. She was the absolute best! Called me herself when she had an update on the prognosis/or even if she hadn't heard anything...just to let me know.She still calls to check up on me, even though the issue has been resolved for 6 months or more.No other doctor has EVER done that for me regardless of the issue....She's GREAT!!!!!

P.S. I also have severe eczema and I use "Eucerin" lotion,it really is the only thing that helps me.

Have you tried all the regular at home remedies? My son had eczema issues and my doc told me to stop bathing him every day and stop using baby soaps on him. He suggested using Dove. He also said to stop using baby lotions and recommended Vasoline intensive care lotion, I've also heard of docs who recommended Aveeno.

Another great dermatologist in the Sacramento area is Dr. Maggie Parsons. She happens to get a number of pediatric referrals from pediatricians and other pediatric specialists. Good luck.

My kids(5) all see Dr. Bass in Sacramento. He's not a pediatric dermo- just a dermo- but he teaches for the med school at UC Davis and he is wonderful. Really knowledgeable and great with kids. Let me know if you need more info.
