Can You Reccomend an Umbrella Stroller
I'm looking for a good umbrella stroller for my 7 month old. I've been looking around for a little while now and I like the Maclaren Volo and Triumph. I'm looking for something light weight and easy to fold. I have a lightweight stoller, jogging stroller, and a sit n-stand already. Just want something small, that would be good for vacation too. Thanks in advance!
So What Happened?™
Thanks everyone for your advice. I ended up going with the Volo after much debate. I went to Babies R Us and was set to buy the triumph. It weighed the same as my Inglesina Stroller and was very similar. Just wanted something that traveled well and would be good to bring on the train, etc. My mom went with me, and said she'd buy it for me for my b-day. Double bonus!

Love my Chicco Capri. Lightweight but not flimsy, folds quickly, and has a 5-pt harness (goes over shoulders, not just around waist). The canopy is fully-adjustable so you can move it wherever the sun is coming in. It has a small recline as well (enough for a nap). We use it instead of the full-size stroller now!

There are a lot of great umbrella strollers out there, many mentioned above. One thing to keep in mind is whether they recline or not. The volo does not, while the triumph does. At 7 months you don't 'need' the recline, but if your daughter naps in the stroller (or you want her too :) ), you'd probably be happier with the triumph or a quest over the volo. I use our baby jogger city mini for travel, which is bigger, and not an umbrella fold. It is still lightweight, folds super fast and easy, and pushes like a dream.

I love my Inglesina Swift. Bigger wheels than the MacLarans. Weighs 11 lbs and can fold and unfold with one hand. GOt mine at Beautiful Beginnings in Lincoln Park.

Sounds like the Uppa Baby G-lite is what your looking for. It's the lightest one out there at 8.3 lbs., so great for travel and Parent magazine tested.

I absolutely LOVE the volo. It is so easy to fold up and down and is easy to navigate. It also has a carrying strap which is like a backpack. My son has always been comfortable in it, and I started using it when he was about 8 months old. I would recommend buying it in a darker color (I think there is a brown one) because it can get dirty when you fold it up (the wheels touch the shade). Overall, it was one of the best purchases I made!

I love my Triumph. My 3 year old has been using it since she was 6 months, but my 7 year old can also sit in it (up to 55 lbs). I prefer the Triumph over the Volo because it is a more supportive back (volo is slingback) and it adjust to different heights so we can lay down a sleeping child.
I purchased it because I needed light weight for my back and umbrella for my car. I still LOVE it. It has a carrying strap for "running through the rain", it has a plastic rain guard that I use more for wind (touring the Smithsonian in March she stayed warm).
Spins on a dime, 5 pt harness, nice for tall parents (5'10" and 6'), storage underneath...
Good luck!

I HIGHLY recommend the Maclaren Volo- we absolutely LOVE it. It folds up so easily (one hand!) and takes up very, very little space. And I love the strap on the back- just tote it on your shoulder if necessary! Perfect for traveling and any other occasion!
And if you want to save on cost, check craigslist- Maclarens are durable and there is always a market for them. And when you're done with it, you can put it back on craigslist!

I have a Volo and I LOVE IT. I love that it is so small and lightweight. While it has no frills, it's great when you quickly need to fold it up and throw it over your back.
I took my daughter to the Zoo last Friday and she was super comfy and happy in it. AND, gramma could just carry the stroller down stairs, in an open position, without any effort --daughter wasn't in it. You can literally carry the thing with two fingers it's so light.
I'm really happy I went with the lightest of the bunch.
