Can Anyone Recommend a Pediatrician in Northwest Metro?

I am due in a few weeks, and have been looking for a pediatrician. This is our first child. Since we are not originally from MN, we don't have anyone to ask for a referral. Can anyone recommend a pediatrician in the Maple Grove/Plymouth area? I was looking at possibly going to South Lake Pediatricians in MG? I would appreciate any advice I could get.

What can I do next?

we go to the South Lake in Maple Grove and Dr. Bachelor is fabulous! My youngest is 5 and he's been seeing her since birth and he loves her. they also have evening appointments which is really convenient and the staff is all very friendly.

My good friend and neighbor takes her 3 kids to South Lake Pediatrics and has been very happy there. Other friends of mine take their kids to Partners in Pediatrics off Bass Lake Road. I used to take my kids there but now have switched to Park Nicollet Clinic in Maple Grove, only because my kids are getting older (16, 14, 9) and it's easier for us all to go to the same clinic. I was happy at Partners in Peds when they were younger. Congratulations on becoming a mommy! It's the best thing in the world!

We LOVE Dr. Scherer at the Allina Maple Grove clinic.

I LOVE Partners in Pediatrics in Maple Grove. We've been happy with all the doctors we've seen, but my favorite (the one my youngest sees regularly because of his asthma) is Dr. Cindy Howe.
The Ready Care is wonderful and the nurses are very kind.

No time to read the rest but I bet you've been told about Partners in Pediatrics in Maple Grove. LOVE them!! They have Ready Care which acts like an urgent care every day (even weekends) and I love all the doctors there. My ped is Dr. Bach but there are several great Drs there. When my first was born, we just made each apt with a different doctor until we found one we liked. Good luck!!

Hi A.,

I know you've got a lot of responses, but I just wanted to add that we also take our twins to Partners in Pediatrics. Our home office is Brooklyn Park, but the Maple Grove location is the one that's open on the weekends.

Awesome staff, I highly recommend. www.pipstop.com. Just make sure to schedule the wellness checks a month in advance of when you really want it.

Congrats and good luck!

DR. Codin-Festin @ Park Nicollette in Plymouth is great. I really like her. She has been my daughters ped since birth. Iam expecting in dec and I want her for the next baby too.

I take my son to Dr. Paulson at the South Lake Pediatrics office. We really like him. Plus they have evening and weekend hours which is convenient. I would highly recommend.

(They also let you do there shots on an alternate schedule--meaning you don't have to get them all done at one time--which was important to us.)

We bring our toddler to South Lake Pediatrics. There are clinics in Maple Grove and Plymouth. We have been seeing Dr. Segedy since his birth. We really like our doctor and the clinic! We have used the Saturday appointments and walk in service during the week and Saturday. Another thing to look for if you are planning to breastfeed is a lactation consultant in the clinic. At all South Lake Peds clinics the Nurse Practitioner is a lactation certified counselor. This was very helpful as a new breastfeeding mom. You can make an appointment to interview and meet the doctors here while you are still pregnant.

I live in Plymouth/Maple Grove and I go to the Partners In Pediatrics on Bass Lake Road. My pediatrician is Carolyn Soberg and I think she is great! She is very down to earth, understanding and easy to talk to. Also, the clinic has walk in service all day, into the evening and on the weekends. As a working mother, this has been terrific! Hope this helps.
