Can Anyone Recommend a Good Workout DVD????
My son is 9 months old and I am not bouncing back as well as I did with my first son! I have been looking for a good workout DVD. I would like something that isn't too time consuming...lets face it...there just isn't enough time in the day! :O) I am also looking for something where I will see results relatively FAST. I loose interest when I dont see a difference. Basically I want to tone up--especially my core! Can someone recommend a DVD they have used?
I have also looked at the yoga and pilates DVD's and with all these choices I am almost feeling overwelmed :O) TIA
I am also looking into Slim 4 Life...anyone have any experience with this???
So What Happened?™
Thanks for all your help ladies!! I was able to find the P90X on amazon.com for $35! It is all 13 DVD's but does not have the manual (they said it is self-explanitory...I sure hope I know what to do with this stuff). I will have it in a few days and am excited about trying it out! I did lake a list of all of your suggestions for future reference and I really appreciate everything...I just hope I stay motivated to actually do it :o)

My hubby and I love Tae-bo. It is definitely a workout and you will see/feel results pretty quickly. When we first started using it, hubby was trying out for the police academy. He failed his physical test the first time, so we got Tae-bo to prepare a bit for a re-test the next week. In that week, hubby lost 3% body fat and 2 inches in his waist. The did 10 more sit-ups, and was well on his way with the push-ups until his foot fell off the wall. Needless to say he didn't get in, but the difference in just one week was amazing.
Also, I like to rotate Tae-bo and Yoga. I like the "Yoga Zone" DVD's. They are very easy to get into and you totally feel like you've done something.

I HIGHLY recommend P90X by Tony Horton. The focus is on muscle confusion - you work a different set of muscle groups every day - and the results are pretty quick. Cardio is great, but you need weight training to build muscle mass to burn fat. You also do ab ripper every other day in addition to the regular workout - it's a 15 minute core workout that will kick your butt! P90X is expensive ($100 on ebay) and some of the workouts are long (1 hr - 1.5 hrs), but it works. My size 20+ friend is down to a size 16 in 12 weeks and lost 30+ pounds. Her husband has lost 65 pounds since September and is very tone now. I haven't lost much weight yet (5 lbs or so), but have gone down a pants size in 5 weeks and everything is firmer.

I am not sure if the original Power90 (P90) is still available but that would be a GREAT way to start. P90X is harder. Tony is a great instructor and everyone I know who used P90 had excellent results.

I like any of Leslie Sansone's walking dvds and I recently discovered Prevention Fitness's DVDs w/ Lisa Freytag(?) Check them out at www.prevention.com then go to the store or shopping tab. I have 4 of them I rotate through. Good luck.

I second P90X--this is hard--really, I won't lie--but if you are serious and focused, it can change your life for good.
I hope whatever you choose works for you! I am on a weightloss mission myself!

I love Walk Away the Pounds and have used those videos since 2002. You can make the workouts as long or as intense as you want - anything from a quick 20 minutes to an hour or more. One of her newest DVDs is set up so you can decide what area you want to work and for how long.
If you have a subscription to Netflix, they have exercise DVDs you can rent. I do this when I want to try a new video before I decide to buy it or if I looking for something different because I'm bored with the same old routine.

I think you can find it on Amazon but remember Susan Powter? I bought her VHS Lean Strong 7 Helathy about 10 years ago and I STILL have it! Its the most awesome workout!!! I love how it shows you all the different levels of intensity so you can work at your own level. She also has one called Building Strenght with Susan Powter . I don't know if they were ever released on DVD but the VHS is worth it and you could always copy it over to DVD.
