Camping - Orlando,FL

I have a 6 yr old boy and 5 year old girl who I would like to take camping I was wondering if anyone knew good camp grounds? Some where where you can still "feel" like you're camping but some running water and bathrooms would be nice.

What can I do next?

Where do you live? They have a nice campgrond in Debary at Gemini Springs, also in Apopka at Rock Springs. Disney is also really nice and very resonalbe for tent camping

Anastasia Park in St Augustine. There is a beach access very near by (long walk/short bike or car ride)-- you can actually hear the ocean at night from your tent. And then it's just a few minutes drive into St Augustine to see the sites if you want to do that. The camp sites have a very clean and air conditioned bathroom close by with showers, each site has electricity and a water spicket, and a campfire ring so you can make a small fire.

We go camping alot. There is Manatee Hammock by Titusville. It is on the river and across the river you can see the Space Center.
Wekiva is nice in Apopka.
If you want to be by the beach also, Long Point in Melbourne Beach/Sebastian is really nice.
All have showers and water.

My husband and I use the KOA campgrounds. They are family friendly with different activities for children as well as for adults. we went we are son this last fall and he loved it. Some of them even have a private beach area.

Ft. DeSoto Park. It's over on the West coast. I'm sure you could find information doing a search online. It's on the water and you can either camp with an RV or tent. They do have bathrooms and showers. There is a playground area. Watch out for the raccoons though. Don't leave any food open. Ha.
