Calories/hours?
When I workout on a tredmill it tells me how many calories I burned, which was 325 calories in 20 min. At the end of the workout it tells me the calories/hour, which was 799. What exactly does this mean? Does it mean that if walked for an hour thats how many I would have burned? Or maybe something else?

That is exactly what it means.....if you were to walk an hour, that is how many calories you would burn.

Yep, that is exactly what it means as long as you stay at that same setting. If only we had the energy to continue that long, right! Good Luck on your exercising!

S. that is exactly what that means, however, that is based on the average 150 pound person so your actual calories burned could be plus or minus that amount. There are programs on the internet where you can put in the activity, amount of time, and your weight and find out a better approximation of the calories burned for you. Good luck with your work outs.

Yes, in theory. These machines aren't actually measuring every calorie that you shed, they are estimating it based on mathematical programming. From what I've learned, the more information the machine asks for (i.e. weight, gender, etc) the more accurate that reading will be.
