Calculator Needed for 16 Year Old Senior

My daughter attends Wylie High School, she has worked EXTREMLY hard to gratuate at the age of 16 and proceed to a Women's college. She needs a TI-89 graphing calculator. They sell at Wal-Mart for $150.00, we can not afford that at the start of the school year. If you know of anyone who has one chepaer with the accesories please let us know.

What can I do next?

We bought one a few years ago from a former college student who was through with it on EBAY. It was less than $100 dollars. It had scrathes on but we didn't care. Good Luck!

Have you tried www.craigslist.com? Is a great site for those of us around the Dallas area.

I don't have a calculator for you, but I have a couple of suggestions of how you can put the word out. Try searching on craigslist.org. There is also a web group called FreeCycle (freecycle.org). You sign up with your local group (there is one for McKinney) and then can post for items you want, items you want to give away, etc. The idea is to keep items out of our landfills by finding folks who may be able to use items we would otherwise discard. Good luck!

I saw them yesterday at Office Max for $139.00 to $165.00. Good Luck!

Have you looked on Craigslist? Also, sometimes they sell them used at the bookstores on campus. Hope your daughter has a wonderful 1st year!

I get all of my supplies like that items at Staples. You might try Best Buy. I am not familiar with that specific type of calculator.

Check online sources such as Ebay, Craigslist and sites that sell calculators.

Good luck.

I bought my son a used one on EBAY for $50.00 but it did not include the accessories. However there were some that did. It was in great shape and came in three days. Some friends did the same thing for their son and also had no problems. Good Luck!

How admirable. I just received a Staples email and for 2 days only, they have a TI-84 graphing calculator for 69.99 on 8/31. Email me at ____@____.com and I can forward you the email.

Good luck! T. in Allen
