Cake Question

I am getting married in Mckinney and was wondering if anyone knew of a really good cake person. I will have 100 people and my very small budget is between $200 and $250. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance.

J.

What can I do next?

This year for my daughter's 13 birthday we had a cake that came from Celebrity Bakery in Plano. I had never had a cake from there before and it was the best we had ever had. I did not speak with Celebrity personally because my event planner did all that for me. I do know they are located around the Parker and Preston area of Plano.

Our cake was a simple sheet cake for 50 people and I paid $75 for it. I don't know if that helps.

Congratulations!

I love Cakes amore in Plano! I haven't gotten a wedding cake from there so I don't know their pricing for that but I have gotten all my dd birthday cakes from there. They are great!

Go to the grocery store for cakes! I had mine done from Tom Thumb almost 10 years ago and I had no problem with it whatsoever!

Another option if you're not overly picky is to ask a cake decorating class (i.e. Michaels, Cake Carousel) to see if a student would be interested in making your cake. They're wanting the experience more than the money.

We used The Cake Stand in downtown McKinney. The cake was fabulous...I even went back for my daughter's one year birthday cake. I thought their prices were very reasonable.

If you or anyone you have in your family is just a little creative, you can purchase the gumpaste flowers and make the cake yourself. You could buy a really simple cake from somewhere if you didn't want to have to ice it and add the flowers:
