Cable Service

What cable service do you recommend? I'm wanting something reliable and at a decent cost. The channels my family likes are the typical: Disney, Nick (all of them), HD Channel, History, G4, Spike, Lifetime, ABC family,

What can I do next?

You need to find out what companies are available in your area they aren't all available in every town/city and them price from there. Go online to the websites and check them out. See if anyone is having any special promotions.

Time Warner, Comcast, and AT&T Uverse are the providers in this area for cable. If you don't want to go through them, you can get Satelite with Directv. Call each company and see what promotion they are running right now and what the regular price will be after promotion ends. ALso ask if there is a contract you have to sign for a certain period of time. I think Satelite is 2 yrs. I have Time Warner and I'm very happy with the channels, the customer service, and the quality of my actual tv and internet service. I never have interruptions.

We have the Time Warner Cable package with high speed internet and 1 digital land line phone. I pay around $180 a month but that is because we have DVR's, will buy a movie on demand, etc

The cheapest will be Dish Network, no doubt about it.

We us AT&T Uverse. I guess I would not say it is a decent price but compares to others in the area for what we want channel wise (we have all the channels you mentioned but had to bump up from the regular package to a high priced one to get everything we wanted). We have always like their serivce BUT I have heard many complaints about them so it may really depend on where you live, if you have it in that area and the different packages they have in your price range.

I just signed up for Time Warner Cable. I have one dvr/cable plus internet, phone and dsl. We get all of the channels you list, except maybe G4. I'm not familiar with G4 so we may have it and I am not aware of it.

We pay $99 per month and got a $50 gift card. You can negotiate with them for a better deal. We lowered our cable bill by $40 to $50 per month, even though we stayed with TWC.

Good luck to you and yours.

I am going to be a bit bias because my husband works for Time Warner Cable... One suggestion would be - don't be afraid to ask for specials and deals. They all have them, but just don't advertise.

Good Luck!!
