Cabinet Locks

My little one is now into everything. She just turned one and has already found my recycling bin with a minor injury. She wants to play in all the cabinets with my pans with glass lids, blender, etc. Although I've moved anything that could really hurt or poison her, I can't move everything, obviously, and need some locks. What have you found to be the best cabinet lock? My husband doesn't want holes through every cabinet door. I'm guessing the holes may only be drilled INSIDE? Have you tried the magentic locks with any success? I've see those in the dr offices and was wondering how they work...? Thanks!

What can I do next?

We have tried just about every lock out there and the magnetic ones are by far my favorite.

as a mom of three about to be four and a preschool owner, you will be better off giving your child one cabinet as hers with dishes lids and spoons to play with while you cook. be very firm with her about the others...tell her no and move back to her cabinet each time. it only take once or twice for her to see how you open the locks and she will figure them out.

The magnetic ones work wonders! I think they are called Tot Locks.

do you have knobs? I just put a hair elastic band or thick rubberband around the knobs and it works like a charm. I leave certain drawers or cabinets open with non dangerous things like tupperware or metal pans or plastic cups and make that the place he's allowed to play. Now he doesn't bother with those he's not allowed to play in. hth!
