Britax Decathlon or Boulevard?

My son is close to outgrowing his infant car seat and we are looking at the Britax Decathlon and Boulevard models.

I'd love to hear from anyone that has either of these models. Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

I have the Boulevard. Both my son and I love it. In fact, he is still rear facing at almost 20 months old. He seems so content in his seat that I never bothered to turn him around. It seems very comfortable and it is certainly easy to handle. By the way, albeebaby.com has some great prices them. Most of my friends got their seats there.

I have the Boulevard and love it! We got ours on ebay for a steal. You might want to check there. I wouldn't get a used one, but new in package. Several online stores sell there, and I checked their ratings and feedback to make sure other buyers had a positive experience with them. It saved us almost $50!
The only complaint people have given about the Boulevard is that kids can't see out the side with the side impact parts. I didn't mind, since I'd rather have that safety feature. Our LATCH is only on the outboard seats, so I wanted to have side impact protection as well.

When my son was 5 months he had outgrown his infant seat. We bought a Decathlon for my car. I really like it because it has a 3 position adjustable crotch strap. Immediately he was at the farthest out position. About a month later when we were deciding on a seat for my husband's vehicle, I bought a Boulevard. When I got it installed & got the baby in it, he was sitting on the crotch strap, & I couldn't get him buckled in. The crotch strap is NOT adjustable on the Boulevard. So I had to take it back & exchange it for another Decathlon. We are so happy with them. The thing I liked about the Boulevard was the height adjuster was on a knob, for a quick, easy adjustment. If the crotch strap was adjustable, I'd be sold on it, but it just didn't fit his front to back width. Especially with any bulky clothes on (this was in December.) Hope this helps, and you are 100% happy with whichever seat you decide on!

We have a Britax and it is wonderful!!! It was worth the many extra dollars. It is so sturdy, and amazingly easy to get in and out. There is no price too big for the safety of our children. Go for Britax, hands down!!!!

We have Boulevard...It is a big car seat. But we have an expedition, so I wasn't worried about how big it was. We also bought ours on Ebay new. I think we got it for $250-$260. Can't remember. And our son is taller and heavier for his age, and we have had no problems with him fitting into it. What I like about it was the side impact and shoulder adjustments. And I like the bulkiness of it. It makes me think he's safer, cause its bigger than most. We put him in it at 5 months and he will be 2 this month. He likes it cause it sits up high and he can see out the windows. This is our second britax car seat, so we love britax, and wouldn't buy anything else!!

I don't have any experience with the Boulevard, but when we went to the store to look at all the different models, we quickly chose the Decathlon. Not only for the safeness, but he is just so comfortable in it. We love our Decathlon. Good luck!

Any Britax is awesome!

We have a Boulevard and my large son is fine in it. He can see aroundthe side impact just fine and is used to having them on the seat. He is a large 30 month old. We also have the old wizard that was replaced by the boulevard. It has held up great through two kids.

You can't go wrong with either!!
