Bright Horizons vs the Goddard School

Hi Moms,
Has anyone sent their child/children to either Bright Horizons or The Goddard School in Elgin for preschool? If so, were you happy with it? Looking for both positive and negative feedback to help with my decision. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Love Bright Horizons. We've been with them for 4 years now......Very good and we feel totally safe and at ease with the teachers and management. Very receptive. Rooms are clean and you get emails with pictures detailing the kids activities.....Flexbile and willing to work with you! Highly recommended.

We had checked out both Bright Horizons and Goddard School about 4 years ago. We visited the Bright Horizons in both Elgin and Schaumburg and LOVED it, but went with a different option due to our work hours and location. We did not like the Goddard school. Didn't get a good vive. If there was Bright Horizons more conveniently located to us we would have gone there.

Good luck.

I know the owners at Bright Horizons and have heard good things about their program as well. (south Elgin Location)
I also checked out Goddard but thought it was extremely expensive.

Very, very, very happy with Bright Horizons, especially Schaumburg on Meacham or Deer Park. We will not send our kids to any other day care. They are older now and attend Bright Horizons in the summers.

Why do I like them? Good security, fun programs the kids love, friendly staff, great methods. They allow children to learn where they are at. There is structure (all kids need that) but not too much. Facilities are always very nice and clean, food is pretty good, staff turnover very low.

One facilities note, the central core area is key to allowing children a break from the monotony of the single room. Very few day cares have that and it is quite important in our climate since Winter is long.
