I'm 66 now, but I was a nursing mother over 30 years ago, and am happy to help out.

The Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence" is the place to go. They have a little store at their offices where they sell breast pumps and nursing supplies, and they conduct SIX different classes on breastfeeding, as well as a dozen classes on "Infants, Children and Parenting." They have a breastfeeding helpline ###-###-####), a chapter of La Leche League, and social events.

The Center has eight different locations. You should call their main number ###-###-####) for to get their free quarterly magazine and class schedule. They can probably tell you which location is closest to you.

You can go to Leche League (4th Thursday of every month at 10AM). It's held at Family to Family through St. Rose Hospitals. Their phone # to register is ###-###-####.

If you're a stay-at-home mom, you may also join the MOMS Club of Henderson/Boulder City. They meet every Thursday at the Galleria Mall in the child's play area (ask for Emily or Liz). They also meet every month at the Black Mountain Rec Center in Henderson off the 95. It's the 4th Wednesday of every month. Many of those moms do or have breastfed their babies and can offer great advice (including me who breastfed twins up to 19 months old).
