Breast Cancer

I am due to have a baby in 2 months.I recently discovered a couple of rough dark spots on my nipples kind of scab like.i wondering if this is a normal change or not.I have always been scared of breast cancer. I have a couple of lumpy spots in my breast but a doctor told me that i had fibercystic breast disease which would cause some cysts.Does any one know if the other spots may be a change i have developed from prenancy or if i should have it checked out. Please let me know if oyu have experienced the same or have any advice.I am only 23 but it is still possible to get breast cancer.Any advice?

What can I do next?

Have it checked. But from what I remember, it is not unusual for your breast to darken during pregnancy.

Think having it checked out at your next visit is important, even if nothing you will have piece of mind.

As your body changes to prepare to have the baby, you will notice some pigmentation changes on your body, including on your nipples. This is normal, but to feel better point it out to your doctor at your next visit.

Since you can only describe them to us, not show them, you probably had better show it to your doctor. Any time you aren't sure, especially if you are pregnant, it's a good idea to at least mention any and all changes.

Definitely get it checked out. You're going to the doctor every two weeks anyway. :) It's probably nothing, though - fluid starting to leak can cause crusting... when you deliver you will notice LOTS of lumps - those are just swollen milk glands.
