Hi Moms, I have decided that after two kiddos and shrinking to less that an A cup, I would like to invest in surgery. I would love to hear from those of you who have done this and specifically doctor recommendations. Of course, I am on a budget so I would like to find a doctor that offers reasonable rates. I've heard of some traveling to OK City or Shreveport and paying a bit less for the procedure. Im up for that if it saves me $ in the longrun and the Dr is reputable. After some research it seems as though there are TONS of doctors out there so it's hard to decide where to start.
Thanks in advance.

What can I do next?

I have not had any plastic surgery. I do know of a fantastic reputable plastic surgeon. Dr. Russell Sparenberg in Plano.

If it were me, I would not be shopping "financially" I would be shopping for the "quality" of work.

My husband and I have worked with Dr. Sparenberg. My husband was almost killed in a car accident years ago and Dr. Sparenberg really helped him with the burns he has on his arm. You can hardly tell now.

As for me, I had a limpoma removed in the office in June and the scar is awesome for a scar. I was just there today for an in office procedure on my leg (hoping it is not skin cancer).

I highly recommend Dr. Sparenberg and IF I were to ever have anything done, I would go to no one but him. I have natural 34 DD's right now, I am very petite and if my boobs continue to grow and I needed help, he is my Dr. Of course, I LOVE my boobies right now!!!

I believe he has a website. Just google. He is in Plano across the street from Plano Medical Center.
Good luck.

I got saline implants last year, and I love them. I went from a small B to a D. My husband and I do wish I would have gotten silicone implants. The saline ones look and feel great...I love them, but there is some rippling where you can see them sometimes. When you're small to begin with, rippling will probably happen with saline implants. Silicone just look and feel a little more natural, and my doctor said they're just as safe.

Also, consider the recovery time. I couldn't pick up my 9 month old for 4 weeks, and even after that, I had to be careful, and my breasts were very tender for almost a year after the surgery. The pain isn't bad....just soreness, but it does last a while.

I'm glad I did it, but the recovery was a little more difficult than I expected.

I'd give you my doctor's name...he's awesome, but he's in Alabama. My family lives in AL and I just stayed there after the surgery for them to take care of me and my little one. Anyway, good luck and congrats!!

I don't have any personal experience but I will second what the other mom said...don't bargain shop for something like this. What's a couple thousand dollars anyway in the long run, ya know? I would go with whatever doctor you are most comfortable and trust. If it's a little more pricey than what you were hoping for, nix some other expenses from your household budget like maybe skipping vacation next year or turning up the thermostat to 78 to help lower utility bills, no new clothes for 6 months, etc. Don't gamble with something like this--besides potential serious side effects, you may not like the results and end up having to go back under the knife again, yikes! I've thought about getting implants but my husband is totally against the idea and I'm on the fence so I don't think I ever will b/c I'm to chicken. Instead I'm just going to invest in some really good push up bras! For now anyway...ask me again next year and it might be different opinion.

I have had my implants for 11 years. I love them and have had no issues. My dr was Dr. David Martin at Medical City.

Do not bargain shop on boobs. There are some terrible results out there. You want to get the implants under the muscle. I have saline, but since I got mine, there are several options. If you go with Dr. Martin, you will have a consultation with the dr and be able to try on different shapes and sizes. They do have financing available.
