BPA Free Bottle Recommendations

With my first baby I used Avent bottles, but now with my next baby on the way, I have learned more about the importance of Bisphenol-a (BPA) Free bottles. What are your recommendations on these new bottles? What have you found you like/don't like and why? Thanks!

We liked Medela bottles (no BPA) when she was really little, but they only go up to 5 oz. Now we use the Evenflo classic BPA free- they are cheap, simple, and come in cute colors (8 oz)! I saw the Born Free bottles and they are very expensive! The Evenflos are $2.99 for a 3-pack!

I used Dr Browns with my first and with my second (10 wks old), I'm using Born Free, and I really like them.

I use the born free bottles and have no complaints. We were using Dr Browns and then had to switch over and transition was fine. Would recommend!
Good Luck!

I use Born Free as well and have no complaints. We tried Sassy MAM but had a lot of leaking from the nipple and the bottom. Gerber also makes a BPA free bottle and they are very cheap -- 3 for $5 or so. We had problems with the nipples on those though.

If you do a google search, there are lots of lists of BPA free bottles. Just make sure you have an updated list. Dr. Brown's now makes a BPA Free, but that wasn't on several of the lists that I've seen. BRU is having a hard time keeping them in stock though.

I also use Born Free bottles. I really like them. Be aware there are a few parts. Two inner discs that fit together & use under the nipple.

We loved our Born Free bottles; the safe-plastic ones. It eliminated all gas issues as well as being a safe bottle.

I just read in parent's magazine that Avent makes BPA free bottles, but they are more expensive. I'm sure you can google their website and there should be info on there.

I love the Born Free bottles. The only problem is that there are a lot of parts to clean. I just throw them in the basket in the dishwasher though. Never had a problem with leaks. I personally did not like the Avent bottles because they leaked. I think a lot of other companies are coming out with BPA-free bottles though so you might check the websites. Also, I have heard that Babies R Us will let you trade in all your old bottles to get a gift card to buy BPA-free bottles. You might call and make sure that is true though since I am not positive.

Hi T.-

i LOVE green to grow bottles. you can get them online or at whole foods. My daughter likes the nipples, but if your baby doesn't like them the nuk nipples also work great- I liked the option of having different nipples to see what worked for her. The bottles are BPA and phalate free and the company is very green with its packaging. I've had a few questions about the bottles and when i call or email i get someone or a resonse right away- they are a good company. The bottles are priced pretty good and very cute looking too!

I also love these bpa free pacificers http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014D47YC?ie=UTF8&t....

best of luck- going "bpa free" is easier than it seems!
