What about Paul or Tony? Those would fit in well. Or Dominic? We used family names for middle names and then went with what we wanted for first names...Brady and Cooper.

Vincent (in Italian: Vincenzo) is an American-Italian name that I like along with the obvious Christopher (also very nice). Francis (Francesco), Domenick (Domenico) are also very classical in American Italian families. Honestly in Italy these names are a bit on the old side, there are waaay more modern names that I could tell you but not all of them have the american correspondent so you really have to know how to pronounce them. Vincent (good Italian name, I think)

I personally like Richard - I think it's a VERY GOOD and STRONG name. My husband didn't want the nick names associated with it. I got to name our first boy - so he got to name our second...thank God he didn't do what he wanted to do - name Nicholas - Boris - urgh!! :)

Benjamin? That's our son's name, so I obviously love it. :) But, it's also classic and it's in line with your other sons' names. In fact, our son's full name is Benjamin Nicholas.

Your other sons have names that reflect your preference.... and your Husband likes Italian sounding names since he is Italian.
Why not... just choose a name that is more reflecting of his heritage??? You can always choose a middle name... that is more in line with what you want.... and per your own relatives.

In our family, my Husband and I are from 2 different cultures. Our kids' names, reflect his AND my, cultural heritage. And the names are therefore, special. Our kids know that as well and love their names and are very proud of it.
It is their cultural legacy. And their middle names, reflect my or my Husband's cultural background as well.

Sorry, but I say, let your Husband have his chance at a name this time.

Hi A.-

I have a 'Ryan James' (ryan was my maiden name)

I have a 'William Joseph' (ex's middle name was william...he did not want a "jr"...and joseph was after an old family friend who had died)

I have a 'Connor Michael'...cause he just 'looked' like one!! lol...and my first name is the feminine of Michael.

I have a 'Patrick Charles'...as my grandad's first name was charles...

My girls all have 'a' name with a family connection as well...sometimes a middle name...sometimes a first.

I rarely (after the first kiddo) put a HUGE amount of thought to their names...at some point, it just came to me...often after they were born and (now ex) and I had a chance to see them!

My favorites are Luca and Luigi for Italian names. There is also Arlo, Dante, Enzo and Roland. These are all nice Italian choices that don't sound too Italian IMO. So maybe do a web search on Italian names and bring the ones you like to hubby and see what he thinks. I think most of these names would go well with John as middle name. I also like Niles but I may be in the minority there. Good luck!!!

My boys are Matthew David and Daniel William. Those names were in our family. My grandson is Ian Dwight, and the grandson making his appearance in the spring will be Joshua Ryan.

I'd sure put an Italian name in there somewhere - either first or middle! Antonio is a versatile name (try putting it with a one- or two-syllable first name and see what happens). What is Richard in Italian - Riccardo? Some of my other favorite Italian boys' names are Vincente, Matteo, Cesare, and Leonardo.

How about a family game just for fun? Put each favorite name, and some non-favorite ones, on a strip of paper. Get some of that magnetic strip roll, and make each name into a magnet. Stick them all on the fridge, and both of you - or all of you - have fun moving them around and making combinations. It might even be one of your boys that comes up with the winning selections.

I can't read your first child's name because of the darn ad that won't go away on my Mamapedia screen, so sorry if I repeat it! I like miles, plus it rhymes with niles. Ronald, Richard, and John are all good middle names in my opinion. And John may even be a good first name, it was so popular for so long that no one uses it for babies now!

I also like: brandon, Brendan, Christian, Carson, caleb, Daniel, drew, Dominic, Evan, Emmett, Gabriel, hayden, jake, Jacob, James, Jameson, Jonathan, jack, Landon, Leland, Michael, Matthew, Micah, maxwell/max, nathan, Nathaniel, Oliver, Preston, Parker, Ryan (also underused these days and fabulous! My favorite especially with your other kids' names!), Steven, Samuel, Travis, troy, timothy, thomas, vincent, William/will, Zachary.

Congrats! My friend has four boys, you're a hero!
