Bottle Warmer for the Car

I'm assuming you are formula feeding (not pumping and bottle feeding). If so, I would just travel with a bottle of water (how many oz he is drinking) and a container of the formula, mix as needed. The water is usually warm because it's sitting the car or diaper bag. I bought one small can of formula and I use to carry that with me, changing it out ever few weeks and scoop what I needed. I have a friend who used the containers that separate into 4 compartments and another one who used travel packs.
My friend bought a car bottle warmer and didn't like it.

I had a couple of different bottle warmers when both my boys were using bottles & they were junk. I highly recommend not wasting your money on one & either get him used to chilly, or room temp. bottles or do what another mom suggested that I did as well. I carried warm-ish water & measured amounts of formula & then mixed when needed. If you're in a restaurant, the server will warm up the water for you. For the most part, my 2nd son got bottles that were on the cooler side & got used to that very early on. Best of luck!

The Munchkin brand takes a ridiculous amt. of time to heat. I had better luck taking a thermos of very hot water with me and putting into a tupperware dish w/ the bottle. Good luck!

We tried the first year's bottle warmer. It takes 20 minutes to warm a 5 oz bottle.
Also, when you have a car bottle warmer, You can't warm a bottle when you are inside a store or a mall.

So, I got an electric kettle. I just boil water in the restroom ( takes about 2 minutes to bring to boil ) and use that water to warm up the bottle, bottle warms in just 2 minutes.

Keep in mind 10 people will take the time to go online and complain about something for every 1 person that will take the time to compliment something. It's human nature.
We used a bottle warmer that looked like a blood pressure belt - it wraps around the bottle and can be tightened to fit. We figured out we needed to plan ahead - it did take about 8 minutes to warm up a chilled bottle so we kept an eye on the clock for feeding time. It was great for a drive to San Francisco or other long trips. Otherwise we just asked for a bowl of hot water at a restaurant to warm up the bottle while we waited for our food.

This may be a silly question, but will your son take a bottle that is not warmed up? I just remember spending weeks using a portable bottle warmer thing (like a beer cozy with a skiing hand warmer) until one day when he was about 6 months old I forgot the warming insert and discovered my son couldn't care less about the temperature of his bottle. After that I just gave it to him cold and saved myself the extra step.
