Hi Moms,
We are going to be buying a booster seat this weekend for our little boy. We have borrowed a Graco TurboBooster and liked it. I was wondering if anyone has the Britax Star Riser or Bodyguard. I would like to compare Britax with Graco using mom recommendations. I've done the CR research but I would like to hear from those of you who actually use them. Thanks! I'm buying on Saturday. A recommendation on where to buy would also be helpful. We bought the Britax Roundabout carseat at the Baby Room in Schaumburg. Any helpful suggestions welcome.
By the way moms, use the seatbeat, not just the LATCH. CR says not all manufacturers LATCH systems are safe, but all the carseats did their job when using the seatbelt.(all but one-Check CR for more info) Good to know!

We have the Britax for my daughter who is turning 3. I am not sure of the name- She loves it. it will hold her up to 80 lbs. It is the one that received recommendations from the baby guide on reserched products. Bays r us in Lombard on Roosevelt has a huge section of car/booster seats.

I had to buy 4 at once (2 for each car) and got the the Cosco Protek that CR had as their best buy. They work fine, the kids sleep comfortably in them, and were only $29 each at Walmart. Most importantly, they come in White Sox colors.

I just bought a booster for my daughter. We compared the Britax Parkway as we've always have Britax carseats. My daughter didn't like how the head rest part curved around so much and she couldn't move her head. We went with the Compass booster and are very happy. It has a little less side impact protection than the Parkway. It does, however, have armrests and folds in have for storage, etc.
We're happy. Good luck!

I actually have the turbobooster (in my nanny's car) and the star riser (in my car). both are great. the turbobooster did not lay correctly in my car. I would say bring your child and the car and whichever seem most comfortable to your child and fits the best in your car you should buy.
good luck!

We have the Britax Decathalon and love it. I think the weight limit is 65 lbs. Britax no longer allows their seats to be sold at a discount online and they were the same price at all the stores where we shopped. Britax is more expensive, but I haven't heard good things about Graco.
