Book on Brain Development in Young Children?

Hi Mamas,
One of my husband's co-workers asked if I had read a great book on brain developement in children during the first three years. I studied about that in college so did not add that sort of topic to my parenting library. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
A.

What can I do next?

RECOVERING THE LOST TOOLS OF LEARNING will give her/them information on how children learn from early years to adult. I heard on NPR several months ago on a study of smart people, what they had in common --- reading. If you also look up on the net: Robinson Curriculum. Dr. Robinson homeschooled his children by teaching them how to learn, he has many helpful insights that have been proven to work! While this is not for the 1st 3 years, it should help them with the next 15 :)
