Body Oil Recipe?

I want to make an all-over, nicely scented body oil for myself. I LOVE the smell of lavender baby oil, chamomile baby oil by Johnson & Johnson, and the original Avon skin-so-soft but I do not petroleum-based products anymore. I am going to use almond oil as my base oil but I dont know what mix of essential oils will give me a good scent. I am looking into: ylang ylang, jasmine, lavender, etc. any info.willbe great!

Good for you! You've probably heard that J&J are being taken to court now too for the ingredients they put in their babycare products! Shameful...

Young Living is great, I use them individually for different reason. I also use a line of aromatherapy products that have a lavendar base - body lotion, body wash, body oil spray. Plus a baby line that is awesome as well. Let me know if I can help you out with any of these. Happy to see you come to "this side of the fence". You will LOVE IT!

Good going! Yes, petroleum is not the way to go. I've been making homemade body products since the '90's and I love 'em! I suggest using jojoba or grapeseed oil because they are lighter and more like our own body oils. Try to get organic if you can. Hands down, Young Living Essential oils are the best. they are theraputic-grade and mostly organic. They are the best you can get in the states without buying from Europe. Aromatherapy is a wonderful and gentle form of medicine that desevers more attention. Lavender and Roman Chamomile for relaxing...the choices are endless...pick a essential oil that serves your goal,i.e. energizing, sensual, claming, etc. Feel free to contact me about where to purchase Young Living Essential Oils!

Shaklee just came out with a baby massage oil . Not real strong, just perfect for baby. Lavender, chamomile. It is also organic which is a real bonus. just fragrant enough.
