Body Odor - Berwyn,IL

I am wondering if anyone else has come across this issue and had a successful way to solve it--or at least reduce. My daughter has this body odor that is unbelievable. When she gets home from school we have to make her take a shower because it smells up the entire room she is in. I had mentioned it to the doctor at her last visit and she suggested that some girls get body odor when they are nearing and in puberty. It has not come yet but the smell really is overwhelming. Now she does tend to go without socks and we make her get them on. I have gotten rid of old shoes so the smell can't stick around. She has mutiple pairs of shoes to wear so she does not wear the same pair every day. The smell seems to mostly come from her feet and has gotten worse over teh past 3 months. She does not get a lot of sugar, rarely gets soda at all. I try to feed them healthy foods and there are no food allergies so nothing there. Has anyone had this happen and what did you do? The main problem is her feet. I was home today and could not stand to be in the room with her! BTW, she usually showers every other day so that is not the problem. The only issue is her feet, not anywhere else on her body.

So What Happened?

Well, I still have to fight with her to wash her feet after school. Unfortunately, I cannot throw away her boots yet and stores have sold out by now. I have told her that as soon as snow if gone for good they are going int he trash. I am going to try the epsom salt thing as well as the tea. I did try the tea for myself but didn't get any changes, though I am not nearly as bad as she has gotten. I just have a problem in the winter when we wear closed up boots and such. I do have tea tree oil and totally forgot about using it for this for her so will try it as well. She cannto take showers everyday due to skin issues so just have to keep fighting with her to wash her feet after school. It has not been as bad as last week but...phew! Thanks for all the suggestions.
I just thought I would update since I have gotten a lot for responses. My daughter gets extremely bad excema on her legs, especially her thighs. It is not as bad as when she was younger but per the doctor, she is taking showers every other day unless she is really active. I have washed her shoes more often and bought her another pair. The boots have been trashed (and of course it snowed yesterday, go figure)She has been tested for food allergies and every thing came up as having none. We did this when she was 4 and again 2 years ago wondering if it had anything to do with her behavior. We tried the soak in black tea but didn't see a difference. I have tea tree oil that I bought awhile ago and it is really good so once I get a spray bottle we will use it.

Had the same problem with my son. Got him on Shaklee Alfalfa and the problem went away in days. I still take the Alfalfa and it deodorizes so well, that when I wear a perfume, the smell is gone in just minutes. Using Alfafa, has a lot of great benefits. No body odor is just one. of them.

My daughter has the same problem. We use the foot spray and it works wonders. Once she can wear sandals and flip flops it isn't as bad but in the winter when she is wearing tennis shoes, she has to wear socks and we spray her feet in the mornings. We also sometimes just wash her feet before spraying them. I also wash her shoes frequently and she does switch them. Good luck.

My husband sometimes has the same foot issue with his work boots. A cheap solution for us was to put some isopropol alcohol into a spray bottle and douse the inner portion of the shoes daily. This has worked much better at killing the odor causing bacteria than expensive powders, etc, and was recomended by his doc.

My brother has used this one for years, but it would have been nice if he could of found this remedy before he was in his 30's. We put up with a lifetime of smelly shoes and feet. Hope it helps!
Black tea. Soak tootsies in black tea. Tannic acid, a component of tea, is thought to have astringent properties that prevent feet from perspiring. To make a foot-tea soak, brew 5 bags black tea in 1 quart boiling water. Let cool, add ice cubes (during summertime), and soak in this "iced tea for the toes" bath for 20 to 30 minutes.

I know you posted this a bit ago, but I thought I'd put a little more out there for you to try.

Try rock deoderant, it can be gotten at whole foods. You wet it and rub it wherever she tends to get smelly. It prevents the bacteria from multiplying on the sweat and body oils.

Have her consume parsley, or parsley oil capsules. It has an anti odor property.

If it is truly that bad have her checked for diabetes and celiac disease(this is what I am thinking) due to the smell and the skin problems.

Go clean with her diet. No dyes, preservatives. This includes on her skin too. So use a natural soap with no dye, extra perfumes, lotions. For moisture, use simple things like straight clear olive oil(a little goes a long way).

Make her drink water, just water. About 6 cups of it a day. No juice, even if natural.

Lower her carbohydrate intake.

No fake sugar either including splenda, aspartame and any other chemical concocted sweetener.

Hopefully something I have said or one of the others have said gives you some ideas.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this or not but I just bought a crystal stone deodorant thing at the ritz spa and it is all natural bacteria inhibitor. After shower you wet it and rub it under arms and can put it on your feet and hands. Its supposed to be good for 24 hrs and one stick for $13. Says it is a year supply. I live in hot florida and as an under arm deodorant it has been working for a 24 hour period. I would definitly try it for feet. It is all natural.

Hi Diane!

For years, I have felt like my feet sweat (and stink) more than most. I was SO self-conscious about it! What works best for me (besides being diligent about cleanliness) is a product called crystal body deoderant. You can get it at Target or Ulta in the deoderant aisle for about $4. It comes in either a spray or a roll on. They are natural mineral salts that you can use to help deoderize (they do not STOP the sweating, just stop the smell). Google "crystal body deoderant" if you're interested to learn more. Good luck!

Have her wash her feet and dry them very well -- maybe use a hair dryer to make sure they're totally dry? in the morning, then spread plain old bacitracin on her feet before she puts her shoes on. With the heat of her feet, the antibiotic ointment will "treat" the shoes too. Have her do that with the same pair of shoes every day for a week or two (until the smell resolves.)

That's advice my grandfather gave -- he was a CDC microbiologist -- not just some old guy with an opinion -- to someone once.

Hi Diane!

My boys ~12 and 8 have the same problem from time to time, and the answer is shockingly simple and "green"!

Pour a liberal amount of baking soda into each shoe and then place a dryer sheet in too. Then dump it all out in the morning and viola~ no stench!! After the first couple nights all you'll need is the dryer sheets most of the time (and the baking soda on occasion when things get stinky again).
Good luck!

You may have already solved this but if not... I saw on Oprah, with Dr. Oz this subject and He said to soak your feet in tepid ice tea (3 tea bags..just plain tea with tannins)for 30 minutes every day for one week and to follow up again when needed! They had a few people try it and they claim it works wonderful! It seems like a nice non-chemical way to do it! And pretty cheap...a few box of tea!

I don't know if you're still reading these, but I do have something different to add. I don't know what the remedy for the foot odor is, but I do know that I had kind of smelly feet as a child (around age 8 to 11, I think) and the way I was talked to about it made me really self-conscious and paranoid and uncomfortable with my body. Just be conscious about the way you talk to her about it. Try not to say anything in a way that makes her feel like SHE is gross (like "Eeew! You stink!" or anything like that).

Just my two cents' worth!

For her shoes try, putting some baking soda, epsom salt and a few drops of peppermint and euclyptus oil in a new sock and trying the end closed. when she get home from school put them inside the shoe. The soda and salt with help to dry out the dampness and the oils will help neutralize the smell. I use this on my dance shoes and it seem to work. Also try rubbing a lotion with peppermint oil on to her feet after she gets out of the shower thickly then put a couple of sandwich bags on her feet with warm wet socks over then for 10 min. This will help the oil get absorbed into her skin.

Hey, I've had shoes that reeked and I have put wadded up newspaper inside the shoes and left them for a day or two. When the paper comes out, the shoes smell much better. You just have to be diligent in doing this everytime the shoes are not in use. Helps to change the paper each time, too!! Also, for the tootsies, after you wash them with antibacterial soap, try spritzing them with either Listerine or white table vinegar. (I know, it sounds crazy, but it will work!) Good luck.

It really is such a frustrating thing to deal with !!! A couple of things which have worked for us (both feet & under arms) is a) grapefruitseed extract ~ several brands - we prefer 'the original GSE' comes in a bottle that looks similar to the nasal spray type-the last one I got has a red screw on cap. A few drops of that with a ?tsp? of water & massaged into the feet for a few days or so .... can make a world of difference.
b) add a few drops of oregano oil to a moisturizer or if skin is dry a few drops of olive oil or sesame oil (and cotton socks)
For underarms when fresh from the shower a couple of drops of the grapefruit seed extract smoothed over the whole underarm daily really put an end to the smelly business here.
As to eczema, we've found two common culprets to be wheat & dairy, even when they don't show up on allergy testing & scents/perfumes ~ unscented laundry compounds and no dryer sheets might help.

yes, this simple thing saved me and a lot of others a few years ago. When I had time before bedtime, I put a tbspoon in lukewarm water and soaked my feet for about 15-30 mins. At bedtime I rubbed my feet with a little boric acid and put soft socks on, or sometimes had to do durint the day. And I saved my shoes when I started putting a little Boric Acid from time to time. Just make sure the powder goes allover.

Believe it or not solicit the help of the gym teacher. If I am correct you have ten year olds, so it must be one of them right? That is definitely when they start stinking and they don't realize it. I have subbed in classrooms where the students come in after they have gym and peeeuuuu. Boy the rooms smells. Having also subbed in gym I have learned that the gym teachers and sports instructors are great in nonchalantly talking about the use of deodorant and cleanliness and the kids look up to them at that age. And now I am working in a middle school and I have noticed a lot of the girls in the dead of winter even think wearing no socks is quite fashionable. Yuk. AT any rate you might make mention of this to the gym teacher, I did not discuss the foot problem myself but a lot of times held up deodorants offering them to stinky students.Or if there is a health class perhaps talk to the health teacher. Just some thoughts...

So she needs to

1.) shower everyday. My brother had to shower after school and in the morning before school from the time he was about eight because he would sweat so much and smell like a sour rag from the kitchen sink.

2.) She needs to wear socks all the time. Tell her that it will help her feet not smell so much. My dad always put a little baby powder in his socks and wore two pair of socks all the time. She can't go without socks if she's wearing shoes like tennis shoes. That's just a fact.

3.) Wash her shoes every week and even try leaving them outside to air out in the garage. My cousin's daughter visited me one summer and her feet were so horrible smelling that I thought she had stepped in dog poop. It took two days to figure out it was her feet and her shoes. She also didn't wear socks. So we got her some socks, new shoes that we could wash, and we made her bathe everyday.

Foot odor is caused by bacteria that is multiplying. AS they grow and multiply they release waste by-products same as we do. So the more bacteria the more waste. I told her that bacteria was pooping on her feet so she had to wash them and the poop off everyday. Sometimes twice a day. We also got her a good foot powder with anit-bacterial agents.

I had a best friend that never took her shoes off in public because her feet smelled so bad. So it isn't an uncommon thing. It is just something she will have to deal with diligently so she won't be embarrassed. It's like some of us have acne and some don't. Some sweat more than others....just something different about each of us.

Dear Diane,

I apologize for not having seen your request much earlier on. I have a suggestion which had proved to be a huge success when my oldest son had gone through the same issue with foot odor, and overall body odor.

I gave him an apple per day to eat! Yes, it's that simple. He was told to eat one apple per day. Usually it was eaten when he came home from school. However, if it's possible for your daughter to eat this apple for breakfast----no additives with that apple, it must be a plain one-----I think it's an excellent way to begin her day! The idea that you are watching to see that it's eaten in its entirety each and everyday for a couple weeks. The odor will dissipate and finally disappear completely You'll feel as if you'd just witnessed a miracle!

How embarrassing it must be for your daughter to have her won fmly not able to be in the same room with her! And think how traumatized she'll be over this. As she grows older she'll develop inhibitions of being uncovered in front of her friends. These types of traumas to self-esteem and self-confidence could remain with her throughout her lifetime! It's crucial to bring back her dignity before she's scarred by this often natural occurance.

Oh, you know I thought my son wasn't having much sugar and no sodas either. Than I discovered he was sneaking in a cola or two several times per week, especially when over at a friend's house! We can never truly know every move our children are making when we are not around.

The diet has alot to do with the odor, as does the digestive system of each individual person. The apple contains pectin which aids in digestion and naturally cleanses the intestinal tract. You lose nothing testing my technique but perhaps gain everything in the way of restoring your child's self-esteem, dignity, and pride!

God Bless You and your family! Feel free to let me know if she's been healed of her odor issue after enjoying the apples a few weeks!

sincerely,

D.

It was a terrible problem until I read in the doctors book of home remedies that if you put Clearasil on your feet I think it was twice a day once in the morning and again at night. That it would take away the odor. You wash your feet well before applying it worked great and stinky feet disappeared ever since and we have not had a problem since than.. You only need a little hope this helps with your problem.

When I first started puberty, I had odor problems, too, the only deodorant that kept underarm odor at bay was Mitchum (regular). Don't buy into the feminine deodorants.
Consider your laundry habits, too. Detergents and softener can clog natural fibers of clothes, and disallowing absorption of sweat and "breathing", this could allow more bacteria to grow, causing smells.
Even though she takes a shower every other day, she should wash her feet every day. Two pairs of cotton socks work like a charm, too. She may feel weird at first but it won't be embarrassing when she changes her shoes at school.
Good Luck! Better to consider habits now, before she's known as Smelly Nelly at school.

I know I'm a little late with my advice, but I just read it the other day. Here's my two cents, for what's it worth.

Do you like sushi? I ask because the sliced ginger that they give you with the sushi is incredible for getting rid of foot odor all day! I have a problem with sweaty and stinky feet myself, but I rub the sliced ginger on my feet in the morning and they're odor-free all day. I just save it a little container and put it in the fridge. It keeps that way for a long time.

I would assume that you could buy a ginger root at the store and use it the same way (sliced, of course) but this was just an economical way for me to get it, since we love sushi but don't use the ginger that goes with it.

Anyway, hope this helps.

Hi, Di~
Wow! You surely experienced 'INSTANT FAMILY', didn't you?! LOL Anyway, I'm a 51 yr old mom (to 4) & grandma (to 3), & I have pretty severe BO. My feet have always sweat all the time, even in sandals. I'm just now learning that my feet stay warmer with just socks and sandals than with socks and shoes, so every day I'm pretty sure I won't be running into snow or rain, that's what I wear. Make sure the socks are at least mostly cotton, tho. Synthetic socks make it worse sometimes (the smell AND the wetness).

For underarms, the only thing I've found that keeps me from smelling is to simply wet the end of a bar of deodorant soap and smear it on like deodorant (I use Irish Spring, I think it is).

If you have heating ductwork, have her put her shoes that she wore that day upside down over the vent to dry out. Never wear boots all day long, either, if possible!

I didn't read your other responses (and I'm sure you got a ton more after your 'what happened' addendum! Everyone always does), but I hope this helps!

God bless!

This may sound strange but dear God it worked on my daughter. Old folks remedies of course. My grandmother had me to cut up a regular baking potato and rub it under my daughters arms (at 8 she was horrible smelling, little girls should not smell like that.) Anyway I am proud to say that she has not has that odor since I have done that. Try rubbing the potato on her feet and using soaps like Dial the gold bar for her, or Ivory soap. Do it after she takes a bath. As girls we should take a bath everyday, our bodies and hormones can give off so may different odors, that taking control of them early is very important.

Hope this helps.

As far as body odor, I don't have a solution except shower and deodorant. As far as shoe odor, you might try sprinkling Gold Bond powder and maybe some baking soda inside the shoes, then put them into a ziplock bag overnight so powder can work it's way thru. Hello Diane! I realize you posted this a while ago, but I just saw it. I read most of the replies, with the exception of the last 15 or 20, which I skimmed through, and didn't see anyone suggest this, so I am going to. BTW... you got some great advice. Anyway, I, too, have this problem, my feet even sweat in sandals and flip flops (gross!!). Anyway, the only thing that works for me, besides washing my feet a couple of times a day (I literally put one foot at a time in the sink and scrub with a foot brush and antibacterail soap) is a foot soak by Johnson's. Not to be confused with Johnson & Johnson, this foot soak, available at places like Walgreens, Target, etc... is wonderful. I love it. It's sort of an oatmeal type consistency once it settles. A lady I used to work with, who also had this issue, told me about it and I've been hooked ever since. She told me it worked so well for her that she only had to use it every three days, and her feet would stay "fresh". Obviously, I rushed out to buy it when she said that, but sadly, I didn't have those exact results. I have to use it everyday, which can get a little costly, the box is about $4.00 for three packets, but the better deal is the bigger box, I just can't remember the price nor the amount of packets. Anyway, just thought I'd suggest it to you. It's in a box that is mostly orange. Foot aisle (like corn medication, Dr. Scholl's products, etc.). BEST of luck to you!!! and your poor daughter, with whom I sympathize!!!

My daughter has the same problem!! & my son did too for awhile we found out the shoes that they had gotten wet from the kids walking in water puddle & didn't tell me which produced this funcky odor ( I think it's the glue that is used to glue the shoe on the inside!) Because I washed the shoes & still the odor returned!! As soon as my sons shoes were toss out & his feet didn't smell any more. Now I noticed my daughter putting her shoes on with out socks which made it real bad because I guess its the mixture of foot sweat ang glue!!! And of coarse the spread the smell if they go &put on another pair with out cleaning their feet first!!! Hope this is helpful! Because I thought the same things you did food allergies & such and all along it was the glue in the shoes!!

Try going to the doctor they can prescribe a powder, or antipersperant for the foot. I was prescribed a powder that helped. Now I am on an antipersperant that is really a God send.
You can also go online and look through various retailer's clearances to find boots that are still available. You can find a lot of things on line that you can not find in the store. I know that Northface and Timberland are year round. Old Navy, Gap, and Children's Place all have great clearances. If the shoe is part of the problem, please get rid of them as soon as your order comes in.

Good luck and God Bless,

You can put a small piece of char coal wrapped in a piece of cloth in for the night. It will absorb smells also.

Hopefully you are still reading this...I was watching tv the other night and on the Discovery Health Channel (I think) on the show Mystery Diagnosis was a story about a girl who had this problem when she was going thru puberty and it got worse as she got older. It ended up her whole body smelling and no matter how much she washed, it didn't go a way. I don't remember what it was called but it was a rare condition that most doctors don't look for normally when dealing with body odor. I thought you may want to look into it. It can be controlled by the foods she eats. It was really interesting. Good luck and God Bless.

Hi Diane,

I read about your problem. Our body odor comes from within the body. Our body sometimes has a build up of toxins and if we are not getting enough good clean water flushing the body the toxins can get trapped somewhere.

In her case it is in her feet. I work for a wellness company and we address these issues. One of our products is a sock that helps the feet to breathe when they are in shoes. It is a far infrared sock. The company also has a great water filter that does not just take out the chemicals out of the water it puts back the minerals and nutrients. It is easily absorbed in the cells and helps the body to stay healthy.

If you are interested in more info let me know.

Have a great day.

When you wash the shoes, put some odo-ban in the wash cycle (avail at Sam's Club).

When she takes off her shoes, lay a kleenex inside and ontop of it place a piece of unused charcoal (for a bar-b-que). Charcoal absorbs odors. If really smelly, you may have to leave shoes outside or in basement.

It sounds like a candida problem to me as well. I have had great results with the tea tree oil. You can buy soaps and shampoos at Sprouts or another store carrying natural products. Stay away from heavy perfumes as they can make the problem worse. Antibacterial soaps can also make the bacteria and fungus grow back with a vengeance. I agree that soaking the feet with the salts and tea tree oil would work well but I would recommend natural sea salts. The apple idea is good as well but I would lower her sugar intake as much as you can. Sugar feeds this stuff. Without the dietary changes you may not see long lasting results with anything. I have added a drop or two of straight tea tree oil to soap and washed my armpit area and I have eliminated any oder whatsoever. I hope this helps.

ROSE PETALS--they neutralized the odor of gasoline on my buddy's cashmere coat and one flower is sung about as the cover up to the scent of infectious diseases during the Middle Ages. I know it doesn't help when your daughter wants to wear flip-flops, but my suggestion is ROSE PETALS.

Good luck.

Hi there,
I know I am late to respond but wanted to give you another option as a lot of these responses NEVER helped my hubby! When I first met my hubby he had the worst smelling feet I've ever come across. He had tried everything under the sun, he was at the point where he would never take his shoes off unless he was at home & the shoes stayed outside and throw away so many socks. A friend suggested he try Lotrimin, most commonly used for athlete's foot. He does not have athlete's foot but I am telling you this stuff worked magic on his foot odor. After a couple of uses the smell went away and he still uses this ever day/every other to make sure the smell does not come back. Don't get me wrong he still has to get new shoes every couple of months but its not as bad as before.
It wouldn't hurt to try it on your daughter-good luck!

She could have Candida. Try anitfungal creams on her feet or have her soak them in tea tree oil in water, She could also be very acidic - soaking in epsom salts might help or try tea tree and epsom salts together.

I remember going through this around that age too. It was very embarrasing, but I did finally get over it. I too had eczema as a child. I wonder if it is related? Anyway, I didn't have this as a child, but I am wondering if the crystal deodorant would help at all. It is natural. She could rub it on & let her feet dry before she puts here shoes and socks on. Might be worth a try.

I am very late with my answer, but here it is. I did not read ALL of the responses, but my skimming did not pick up my answer. Use the brown Listerine. It has cured everything from stinky shoes to ezcema (sp?). I have a pair of Merrell shoes that has a "take out" insole. They also tend to stink because, although they are clogs, they are solid woven and no air escapes, so they (and there is no other way to say this nicely) tend to STINK. I take out the insole, wash it, and then soak it in Brown Listerine for about 6 hours, then let it air dry. No smell for months. I think it kills the germs that cause the smell. I went to the Peoples Pharmacy (online) and people swear by this. Just try it. It only cost a couple of bucks for the Listerine to soak it in. I was amazed at the other things people use Listerine for. Opens your eyes...

Diane, I missed your request the first time somehow. Haven't taken the time to read all the replies so I don't know if this is a dublicate. Body odor and especially smelly feet is a classic sign of zinc deficiancy. You might try ao good qualify children's multi-vitamin/multiminera. Don't use the synthetic stuff. Natural nutrients absorb better and you won't be wasting your money.

Hi Diane,
I sit for a young lady (age 10) and her parents and I tried to figure out her "smell" for a long time! At times you could smell her from across the room. Finally with the help of her dr (that is great!) it was found out the problem is her body has a problem processing certain foods. Things like fish, eggs, beans, some nuts, corn, etc. are h*** o* the body and she can't process as easily as others and it comes out through her pours. I don't know if it is the same with your daughter but it might be worth looing into with her dr., because it is a rare thing maybe if you mention it to your dr he/she will know what tests are needed and then you can go from there.
Best Wishes!
ps. we are honest with my friends daughter and because she is aware of the "smell" she also knows why to avoid certain foods and it really is no big deal.

my daughter also has bad smelling feet. We keep most of the shoes in the garage so her room doesn't smell. She takes a shower everyday. I have noticed that they don't smell as bad with white socks. Wearing shoes barefoot is really bad as those shoes smell the worst especially dress shoes so trying to get her to wear knee highs or trouser socks. Even her sandals and flip flops smell when she wears them in the summer barefoot.
My dad also had really bad smelling feet when he was younger and started wearing all leather shoes and says his feet quit smelling when he wore leather boots instead of tennis shoes or other cheap shoes.

Hi Diane,

I hear you. Though you say there are no food allergies, it sounds like your daughter has very dry skin, is that right? I'm thinking this because you mentioned not bathing every day. If she does have very dry skin or eczema, this is indeed a food allergy. My daughter had this because she's allergic to strawberries, corn and legumes. When I cut these out of her diet, her eczema and dry skin went away. Nowadays, if she eats popcorn, I know the dry skin will return and I automatically apply acquaphor after her bath. Believe it or not, food allergies manifest in many, many ways. Best of luck :-)

Have you thought about buying her Crocs to keep at least her shoes from not smelling? They come in so many different styles now. They are anti-microbial and they really never end up smelling....even with sweaty smelly feet on them.

As far as how to make her feet stop smelling, I'm no help, but I will be trying some of the wonderful suggestions on here, starting with the tea bath. My mom always used to talk about my smelly feet. lol. :) Good luck!

Diane, My niece had this happen until she started her monthly! It is just not her feet you are smelling. He comes from every pore in her body, including her vaginal area! And once her montly starts it will for the most part go away, unless she does have just "sneaky feet" and there are products for that! As far as other products for "smell" a shower everyday is needed! I also recommend femine products. Sprays and bath products will help her. Also a stronger deodorant. I know your daughter is only almost 10 and it couldnt be possible at this age but believe me it is. My niece went through this several years before starting her monthly. Good Luck.

I have this problem, my dad has this problem and my twins have it too. Its really bad when I go without socks, so I would start there. Also wash her shoes often. I have to wash my feet too, especially after wearing shoes with no socks. I even notice that my flip flops can have a stench, so for me even the open air doesnt curtail it. I love Tsukioshi (not sure of spelling) brand kids shoes. The insoles are soaked in green tea. When my boys wear them, their feet NEVER smell. I too have tried the tea soak for myself and that can be a time consuming tedious commitment. So I resorted to a footpowder. I dont know which brand maybe its Odoreaters, I think Dr. Scholes makes one too but i sprinkle it in my shoes and BAM, there is no odor all day long. You can also get a powder spray, the regular powder can get messy. Good luck to you!

Arbonne has body wash that is GOOD for the skin (and for eczema) as well, and they also have vitamins which may help heal from within.
