B.O.B. Stroller Question

My baby is 4.5 months old. Can he sit forward in the B.O.B. stroller yet without being in his carseat w/ the carseat adapter? When can I start jogging with him?

What can I do next?

The usual recommendation is 6 mos for forward sitting. There is an infant car seat adapter for the BOB that allows you to snap your car seat in (minus the base, of course). I used that and started running with my daughter when she was 5 weeks old.

We started jogging at about 6 months with ours. They had early head control and the pedi said they were ready for the bouncing by 6 months. At 4.5 months I'd say that yeah, he should be able to sit in the BOB without a car seat. Just check him to make sure he's not slumping over - if he is, place rolled up blankets next to him or something.

You shouldn't jog with him until he is 6-9 months old, but ask your child's pediatrician as the recommendation vary widely.

At 4.5 months you can probably put him in the stroller without the carseat if he is doing lots of tummy time and holding his head up.

I have a BOB Duallie and LOVE jogging with my kids. I'm sure you will too!

There is no reason he can't be forward facing with no car seat. I would just keep the seat low and make sure his head has enough support. I would definitely wait a few more months before doing any jogging with him.

I believe their website says 8 weeks to ride in the regular stroller and 6-9 months for jogging so they have better head control. I just checked the other day to see if we could go without the carseat sometimes. Our little guy is 9 weeks and he has been in the regular stroller once or twice for short walks and did fine and did not move with the seat reclined.
