Ok.......this is not something I exactly want to talk about. I am going to be 8 weeks pregnant on Tues. I have no children and also had a miscarriage in June at 6 weeks. So, I dont know if I am just ultra paranoid. I go on Monday for my first ultrasound. So YES I will be taking all my questioons to them Monday. Over the past 4 days anytime I go to the bathroom and as moms would say go #2 .....I bleed. It is really freaking me out. I know bleeding can be normal within the first trimester. But, I am just not sure what to do?? I am so scared that I am miscarring again. We just told all of our family and friends the good news last week and now I am wishing we would have waited because sadly I am expecting the worst. Has anyone had a similar situation?? OR any thoughts Oh and adding on to the current answers it is vaginal bleeding.

What can I do next?

I would first look at your diet. Do you eat things that help you go easily like fruits, veggies, fiber? Are you straining to go or is it an easy process? Do you feel like there is pressure when you sit on the toilet? 8 weeks is still early and so it is hard to say, but I remember having digestive problems pretty early on in my pregnancies. I had to make sure I ate a lot of salads and fruit because I got constipated easily. If you are straining, you can have bleeding from your rectum called anal fissures. These are not visible like hemmhroids because they are inside the anus. Also, was there a lot of blood. You can still spot at 8 weeks. So, If you go #2 again today, try to find out where the blood is coming from. Use a tampon before you sit down. when finished, if blood is in the toilet, it is coming from your rectum and you should just change up your diet. If its on the tampon afterwards, asses how much and then yes, talk to your doctor about it for sure. Good luck and God bless.

I had the same problem around that time in my pregnancy (rectal bleeding, ouch!) when I had to go #2 . It's most likely caused by constipation but not hemmeroids yet (at 8 weeks there can't be too much pressure from the fetus) and I decided to take stool softeners (or whatever your OB/midwife says is safe.) I tried more fiber and water in my diet but it didn't seem to make much of a difference unfortunately. Constipation/hemmeroids are all just part of being pregnant :(

are you bleeding when you poop or is it vaginal? if its poop - then you need to start drinking more water. are you having to strain? try drinking v8 fusion juice. it really helps to move things a long and keep your poop soft so you dont have to strain. congrats on the new baby!

Are you sure it's vaginal bleeding? I mean I'm not trying to question your judgement, but if it only happens when you go #2, I'd be surprised, but you know your body for sure! Sometimes when I have a large stool I bleed a little bit too...there have been times I confused it with my period at first, but then realized it was rectal.

Hang in there! I know you're going to the doctor tomorrow, but I can understand your worry, especially since you've had a miscarriage already. I would advise calling a nurse line today just to ease your mind a bit. I know it's only a day, but a day can be a long time to wait, not to mention, think of the worst case scenerios over and over! Check with your local hospitals, most or all of them should have a free line you can call and ask a certified nurse your questions. I'm sure you're going to be just fine, but it's peace of mind! :)

Be sure to talk to you doctor, but I had this with both of my kids and I am pretty sure (99.9%) that it was vaginal bleeding. The doctor never really seemed to understand what I was talking about (I think they always thought it was rectal bleeding). I freaked out a lot with my first and my OB at the time didn't help ease my mind much. The second I worried a little but had been through it before. Both my kids turned out healthy and full-term and I never got any satisfactory answer about why it happened. Hopefully you have the same experience I did- just a weird little hiccup in your pregnancy that will turn out fine. Let us know how the apppointment turns out! You'll be in my thoughts!

My guess is that you have internal hemeroids. I had them with my son. BUT>> I am not a doctor.
On another note: anytime you have worries about anything, call your OBGYN. I don't care what time it is. They always have someone on call and helping you, answering your questions is their job..

Good Luck, I will pray for you and your family. (including the new baby)

Congrats and God Bless you.

Rectal bleeding?
Or vaginal bleeding?
If rectal bleeding, get some stool softeners.
OTC at any drug store or general store (Target, WalMart).
Also eat more raw vegetables.
DRINK MORE WATER.
Not coffee, not tea, not soft drinks.
WATER.
If vaginal bleeding, your ob/gyn will advise you.

you are sure its vaginal bleeding? and its never there any other time? technically, bleeding wouldnt happen just from having a BM. if you were having vaginal bleeding, you would expect it to be there more.

ok, ill just ask, after your BM, when you see the blood, are you wiping the front or back area? lets say you have a BM, have you just wiped your vaginal area only and still got the blood?

any abnormal BMs lately? ever had hemmorhoids before. an INTERNAL hemmorhoid is not the same as an external. external do not bleed, are painful, itchy, or annoying and can be felt at times. internal hemmorhoids are usually not even known they are there. the only symptom is often blood during a BM. there is no pain, no bumps, just bright red bleeding.

also, what does the blood look like, is it more of a pink tinged discharge, brown, or bright red?
