I was wondering if any of you who are pregnant or who have recently given birth have found any blogs or online sources to be particularly useful?

I have to second the iVillage Pregnancy & Parenting boards!!! I'm a Community Leader for one of them, and I have gained so much support and friendship from the wonderful ladies there on multiple boards.

Here's the link again: http://parenting.ivillage.com/messageboards/

Congrats on expecting!!

I love Pea in the Podcast! There are 40 episodes, one for each week of pregnancy plus a bunch of other episodes related to pregnancy and parenthood. I like that I can listen to them and still get other things done www.peainthepodcast.com

When I was pregnant I registered (even though I nursed my children) to Enfamil, pampers, american baby, etc. - you get weekly/monthly emails with updates of the babies progress in the womb and what to expect, what your body is doing, nutrition, and development of the fetus with pictures, etc. Congratulations.

I find LiveJournal communities most helpful--including parenting101, breastfeeding, attachedparents... there are communities for just about every interest under the sun.

For breastfeeding: www.kellymom.com

For parenting in general: www.askdrsears.com (just about anything, including symptoms of every illness under the sun, discipline, circumcision, any question you can think of is there)

My favorite birth books:
Ina May's Guide to Childbirth (Gaskin)
The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth (Goer)

My favorite parenting book:
The Baby Book (Sears)

Hope this helps!

I found the mama groups at tribe.net to be very helpful! I also read askmoxie.com quite frequently

This may sound a little cheesy, but I have found this site, ie mamasource, the most helpful.

Depends on what kind of use you require. Do you want personal birth stories or places you can ask questions and get answers? I've been writing a personal blog about my whole experience but I don't think it's particularly helpful. Just a story about my experience during pregnancy, a preterm birth and beyond. Mamasource and books I've ordered from amazon.com have been my two best informative sources for unanswered questions.

I have a few suggestions...

For Breastfeeding:
www.llli.org
www.kellymom.com

not sure if that helps you at all. A great way to find info is to google topics, or network with other parents. This can be done on many social sites focussed on parents. Be sure to check yahoo groups as you may find groups there, www.cafemom.com, www.theparentboard.com, www.theparentpack.org (mine ;-)). I wish you luck!
