Birthday Pary Games
I am throwing a big birthday part for my son in August. Normally we just have a small family get together. But this is his 10th birthday so I wanted to throw a big bash. We are inviting all of our friends and their kids to the party. So there will be children from infant age up to 10 years old. I am looking for games that the kids can play. They don't all need to be games for the little kids to play too. But a few would be nice. Any ideas?

Pin the tail on the donkey is a good one. Also, a pinata is a great idea for kids. A cup or plate with a certain mark is a winner every time.

One of the best birthday party games I've seen played that spanned all ages was a scavenger hunt. You can divide the kids into teams, just make them roughly equal. Then just make sure to have prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on. This game was a big hit at our family reunion!

Of course you would have to worry about the weather, but what about a day of water activities in the backyard? You could have a little sprinkler or splash pad for the little ones and a slip and slide and water balloons for the older ones. If you have two hoses you could set up in the front yard and back yard. Someone asked a similar question here about a week ago. You might be able to get some additional ideas by looking up that question on the website. People recommended specific face painters and entertainers like Bill the Juggler. You could also look up the Family Fun magazine website or the Birthday Express catalog website. They should have party game ideas. Have fun.

Hi Amy,
a game my kids love is pass the parcel, you get a gift (nothing too expensive) and wrap it up in many layers of different colored gift wrap, you sit all the kids in a circle, turn on music, and they pass the gift from person to person around the circle until the music stops, then the kid whose holding the gift opens one layer of gift wrap. The game continues until the last kid removes the last layer of gift wrap exposing the gift which they get to keep.
Have fun:)

I have used the website partygamecentral.com. It was the best one that I came across for all kind of games. Not only do they have games for birthday parties but games for baby showers, bachelorette parties and fun get to know you games as well. I have used this one for the last two years for my daughter's birthday party and for Mom's groups as well for icebreaker games. Good luck and enjoy.

You need a pinata. You can fill it with little toys if you don't want to give out candy.

Hi Amy...If it his Golden Birthday you could use that as the theme? Have gold fish crackers out, do a treasure hunt and they could find gold coins, give real Gold Fish as prizes??
Just an idea?
Have Fun!
