I'm looking for a birthday party place for my twins who love, love, love animals. Preferably something not outrageously priced, and indoors b/c birthday is in early March (never know about weather). I know of Petland, but it stinks in there. Any other places/ideas? Thanks ladies!

What can I do next?

We have used Grisham Farms and loved them. In fact we loved them so much that we are using them again this year. They are located in McKinney and I know that you can do on site birthday parties. We had them come to our home two years ago. They brought 10 animals and did an educational presentation for the kids for my son's 2nd birthday. We LOVED it. My son is turning 4 in February and he wants them again. I highly recommend them. We've always had them come to our house for the party but I know they do parties on site.
We've also been to a party at the Frank Buck Zoo in Gainsville and it was fabulous. It's a much smaller zoo that we love and go to often in the spring and summer and I think it's perfect for young children because it is so much smaller.
There's also always the Fort Worth Zoo as well but I believe they book up pretty quickly.
Finally there is The Heard Museum in McKinney. We looked into having my daughters party there when they had the wonderful moving life sized dinosaur exhibit there. I'm not sure how many animals they have there on a regular basis though.
Oh and there is also Sharkarosa - they have some fabulous animals and a bucket train ride. I think that they do on site birthday parties but you'd have to check their website.
Please let me know of you have any questions. You can find each places website if you google their names and locations.

I would recommend the Dallas Zoo or the zooniversity people. I know Zooniversity comes to your house, but perhaps they could suggest another indoor location if you don't want the party in your own home.

We had a party once at the Fort Worth Zoo. They give you a private room and bring 5-6 animals in for the kids to view. My son was in kindergarten and he and his friends LOVED it! There are also places that will bring small animals to your home for a party.

Happy B-day to your twins!

The Dallas Zoo gives you a private space & I've seen litte girls having parties there & it looks outrageously fun - they all had feather boas on (assuming that was their party favor) and had zebra print favor bags - to die for! I wish I had a girl!!!!!!!!!!
The party area is super easy to find - just inside the zoo in the kids area.

Also - have you thought of the Rainforest Cafe in Grapevine? Just another random thought.

We did a party at the Ft.Worth Zoo and it was great. We invited 30 kids cause I thought no one wold want to travel to Ft. Worth. Man was I surprised when every single one called to rsvp.

It was a great experience and I will do it again. I paid right at $200.00 which is not bad but I also got the additional goodies for each child. You get a party room with a helper, they bring animals in for the kids to see and touch. Plus each child gets a free ticket into the zoo.
