Birthday Party for a 3 Year Old

Our daughter is turning three in March and we want to throw her a small party. However our apartment is a bit small for the event. I am only planning to invite five children to the party with their parents but I don't want to spend more than $150. (I can do the cake, food and goodie bags myself; I just really need an inexpensive place to hold the party at.) We are looking for a space for rent that would supply child size chairs and tables? By the way we live just south of the Loop, however we are open to all suggestions. Thanks.

Oh my goodness! What a great idea...Take them to the Kohl's Children Museum!!! It is hands on. There is a cafe area. They have so many things to do. You could go with as many kids as you want. There is a private room too for parties. It is in Glenview - kind of far but it is soooooooooooo worth it! Let me know if you do it...

Hi S., Grace place on dearborn st. in printers row rents out the hall. I have playgroup there with my son. check out there website. hope this helps

Hi S., why don't you make a picnic birthday party? or take them at Navy pier? Instead of renting a place you can make a trip to the zoo, so they will not forget and at the and you can still go to any restaurand and have blow the candle:)

Not sure where you are south of the loop, but I grew up in the South Loop (Dearborn Park) and a few times we rented the party rooms at the different buildings in that area. I think 801 S. Plymouth and 899 S. Plymouth are 2 we used. Pretty sure they don't have child-sized stuff, but it is some good open space to just let the kids do whatever. River City probably has a space, too. As do, I'm sure, other buildings in the area, but those are the ones that come to mind.

Try Fantasy Kingdom on
1422 N. Kingsbury, Chicago
312/642-KIDS

It's around Division and Clybourn. It is an indoor play place specifically for toddlers. Good luck!
