I'm looking for party favor ideas for a bowling themed party for 4 year olds. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I do party favors but I don't fill them with junk they get trashed in the end after a few weeks or break...What about crazy straws, fruit snacks, crayons and a coloring book the Dollar Store has these items and right now Walmart has Crayola crayons for .25 cents

I hate all the little plastic toys they usually put in goodie bags, so what I do it go and buy a bunch of hot wheels and fruit snacks, and a bag of lollies. That way they get a toy they will actually keep and play with, a not so bad for you snack, and a special treat, and in the end it is cheaper than buying all the cheap little plastic things.

i think familyfun mag had ideas for this you could check the website. seems like maybe they bought Tshirts for the kids and had their names on the back like a bowling shirt and got fabric markers for the kids to sign each others shirts.

Not sure on favors...most parents don't appreciate the junky little doo-dad toys. But for the Thank you cards..take a good group photo or a fun one of each party goer with the birthday child..especialy if you do something fun with bowling shirts/tshirts for them to keep. Then do each picture up and put into the thank you card! Each party-goer will get to keepsake picture from the fun day at the bowling alley! Some places offer a certificate for the kids to come back for a free game (they want the business of course!)...if they didn't get that at the party, slip that into the Thank you card as well.

For my daughter (who is a teen now) we always did a fun useable keepsake thing. Her 4th birthday we had a pony ride/face painitng/small petting zoo place come to the house for their stuff. My mom and I made super inexpensive and simplistic cowboy/girl vests, bought straw cowboy hats and red bandanas and sheriff badges at the local party supply store. Everyone went home as a cow-poke that day! A few candy treats tucked into their hat or bandana and they were set! Everyone got a thank-you card picture of the group with their costumes and also individual ones on the pony ride! It was a hit! Get creative!!

We did a bowling party with no favors. I figure the activity was favor :). I know it's bad, but I dislike my kids getting "junk" in their bags or just more little things to store...maybe you could give each kid a gift certificate to come back and bowl another time?

I used to work at a theater and also saw some cool ideas. One family gave each kid a for real gold fish, another mom got water bottles and let each kid decorate them - something like that doesn't go to waste. Good luck!

Little hand towels

I agree that no parent enjoys the bags of junkie toys, and we all know that those become really expensive. The kids end up losing all of the stuff within a week. I would suggest a ticket/gift cert to return to the bowling alley, or you could give each child a cup or bag with some quarters or tokens to play the games at the bowling alley. All of the moms in my neighborhood have agreed to skip the gift bags all together!
