Birthday Park

My son is going to turn 3 shortly and I wanted to celebrate his birthday in a park that is good for kids. I am in miami, florida. I have tried several places but not sure about them........The theme will be Thomas the Traine :)

What can I do next?

How about the Railroad Museum? - same complex as the Metro Zoo. Sometimes they have Thomas visit. Good luck. J

Guess it depends which part of Miami you are in, because you want to be close to the people you are inviting... I would also pick a park with a room you can possibly rent in case of rain, and possibly call the Miami Dade County Parks department for an idea... Some of the places, parks and Zoo etc, have facilities better for five year olds, new park equipment has areas kids can slip through and fall off of...
Maybe wait a year or two for an in the park party, and do one in his classroom at school...if he attends a pre school.

The train museum in South miami Dade would seem like a good idea for a Thomas themed party which is unique! Good luck.

Not long ago I took my kids, 8, 6 and 3 at the time, to a birthday party with Thomas the train as the theme. It was held at the "Gold Coast Train Museum", they all really enjoyed it. The web site for details is http://www.goldcoast-railroad.org/ and they are located at 12450 S.W. 152nd Street

Hey M.,
I took my kids to the Gold Coast railroad park right next to Metro Zoo; it has old trains the kids can walk though and a working train you can ride on, its lots of fun! this is the web site http://goldcoast-railroad.org/.
If you’re not interested in that one try this site http://www.miamidade.gov/parks/fun.asp
it includes all the Miami Dade parks and activities, you can find one near you or search if you have any special needs.
I hope this helps!!! Good Luck and Happy Birthday to your little Boy!

There's a place in Doral called Party Kingdom. I've had my daughter's birthday there every year except last because it was booked. It's indoors but it has a play area for tots, rock climbing wall, moonwalk and a bunch of other stuff. The cool part is that it's like a banquet hall, they only allow one party at a time and you have it for about four hours. It has tables & chairs set up like a banquet hall but more casual, like if it was in a park. They take care of all the decorating, food, pretty much anything you can think of. They have different packages depending on your budget. Hope I could help!! =)

Where are you in Miami??There are several spots to choose from are you north or south??

Miami is such a huge place...I live in north Miami and have had very good luck with enchanted forest park on 135thstreet and biscayne. It has an excellent tot lot, lots of shade and trees and plenty of room for a bounce house if you should want to rent one.
