My husband turns 22 on the 20th of this month && I really am not sure on what to get him. He says he doesn't want anything but who wouldn't want a little something on their birthday? Anyway, hes a dj, but he has all of his equipment && stuff. I feel like I always buy him clothes. Im just a little stuck. && we are getting back on our feet from financial issues so I don't want to spend a ton of money. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thankssss!

What can I do next?

Make him a cake. Have a card waiting for him in his car so he sees it when he goes out. Have cocktails, cheese and crackers waiting when he gets home from work. There are lots of little ways to make him feel special on his birthday without spending a lot of money. He will probably remember the effort more than the money spent on a gift. About 17 years ago my husband bought multiple bags of skittles (candy). He separated all the grape (my favorite) and put them in a mason jar. This present stands out more to me than the car he bought me on my 40th birthday😊.

Write a poem.
Your own creation.
In your own handwriting.
Then, once you have your final draft, write it on nice paper.
Then frame it.
I did that once for my Husband. And he loved, it.

Leave him a note on the bathroom mirror.
Put one in his lunch bag/box as a surprise at work.
Write him a poem.
Buy his favorite beer.
Make him his favorite thing for dinner.
Make him a cake.
Write down the 10 reasons why you love him.
Give him a massage at night.

I have gotten my husband a bunch of his fave snacks before. He loves hersheys almond bars so I got him a giant one in the candy section, then a bag of twizzlers, those new tubs of gum pieces etc..

Have a card in the morning and another at night. Put the morning card next to his alarm clock or even on the bathroom sink, wherever he goes first. Put the end-of-day card on his pillow.

BTW can you educate me on the double-ampersand? I have no idea what "&&" means as opposed to "&" or "and"! Am I missing something?

You could do a gift certificate for a date night at a small and affordable restaurant. If you are already a member of AAA, they have movie discount tickets that can be used any time. If you like silly stuff, how about a round of mini golf?? Kind of dumb and lots of laughs! Or take him out for ice cream.

I think after a miscarriage and having your phone and power turned off it would be a pretty quiet birthday.
How about packing a nice picnic and going somewhere pretty and peaceful for some quality time together?
Presents are nice but unless you're a child there's no reason to expect them on your birthday.

My husband just turned 38. He has 3 best friends. They've been close since high school. One lives in our area but my husband rarely sees the other two, and the four of them haven't been together for years. I surprised him by contacting the two that live farther away and arranged for them to come stay for the weekend. His local friend was in on it and told my husband that he wanted to go see a movie with him on Friday. My husband was super surprised to see all three of them in the car that night.

He said it was the best gift ever.

Make him a nice dinner. His favorite, whatever that is. Buying and cooking a steak is much cheaper than going out. Rent a movie from the Redbox and have some of his favorite treats.

Do you have a nick name for him? If so, do something like this:

S - Sexy
T - Terrific
E- Exciting
V - Victory
E - Extreme

I don't know but you get what I'm saying. Draw it out and then decorate it and frame it. Or make him a sexy coupon book like the kids do in school. Instead of a coupon for "making my bed" you can do "make it in bed." lol You get the jest of it. Good luck!

For my birthday, all I usually want is cake. I keep hinting at my husband for an Iron Man or Avengers cake if they have it. Maybe a card and a cake would be all your husband would want as well.
