Birthday Gift Question

My daughter was invited to a classmates b day party, when I asked her mother what she liked, she said all she liked currently was her nintendo. I figured I would buy her a gift card to use towards the purchase of another game, thing is how much should I spend on it? I dont have a big budget for this and I wanted to spend $15.00 on it. Does that seem ok? The girl is 7 years old and not close to my daughter at all. TIA

What can I do next?

go to best buy and look if yopu can find a game for under 20.00 i know you can i find a good one for my niece

I usually spend $10 on a not so close friend and $15 on the few closer friends my kids have. I think a $10 giftcard to Game Stop would be ideal.

I would just do $10. That is plenty for a child not close to your family. I actually went to a party a week or so ago and this little girl got a few cards with cash, she was very excited to get actual money.

That should be just fine C.. Go to GameStop, and get her a $15.00 gift card.

We have a $10 limit on birthday gifts for friends and our kids are good with that (our twins are 7). We have purchased cute nightgowns, summer pajamas, etc at Wal-mart for under that. We also have gone to Game Stop and bought a $10 gift card which would work in your case - she can rent out games and whatnot there which is always fun!

Yes that is fine, bu really, it is a bit offensive to me that mom would not offer more suggestions. What did she expect you to do, buy a new game?? Anyway, I usually spend $10-$15 for a friend gift, depending on the age. But I would add, if you actually want a gift, no girl can refuse a fun lip gloss & nail polish set. Maybe with a cute hair brush or accessory or smelly lotion and you have the perfect gift. It is one of our favorite things to do. Good luck ~A.~
