So What Happened?

My 6 yr old had a great party. I printed the outline of a BRATZ girl on cardstock at kinkos, they colored it, cut it out with those special scissors that leave a pattern, pasted it to construction paper and then decorated it with glitter glue and tiny little hearts. By the end of the party they were dry and they could take them home to laminate and use as placemats. They loved it!! We played hot banana too. (Didn't have a potato) Thanks for your help.

I know this is geared a little more towards younger kids, but if anyone out there is looking for a great place to have a birthday party for youngsters, there is a place in Valrico called the "Red Barn Petting Farm" at 4205 E Bloomingdale Avenue. I just had my 3yr old daughter's party there and it was AWESOME. The kids had a blast from start to finish. It is a small town petting zoo in a convenient location. They had goats, llamas, cows, donkeys, hens, roosters, turkeys, peacocks..just about everything you can imagine. Darlene, the owner and "host" puts on her cowgirl hat and takes them on a hay ride so they can feed the cows without getting too close. Then they get to feed and interact with all the other animals while petting and learing about them all. All of the animals are certified by a vet to be free of E.CHOLI - very important to me, and there are wash stations with soap and water everywhere. It was clean and tidy. There is even a huge playground with very nice equipment - fun for any age. Lots of shade trees and tons of picnic tables. Really a nice setup - can't say enough nice things about it. We really enjoyed it and our daughter hasn't stopped talking about how much she loved her party. Since she just turned 3, it was really her first true birthday party with friends that she'll remember. I hope that someone reads this referral and tries it out - you will be pleased. It was a beautiful party location - and very affordable. If anyone is interested, their phone number is ###-###-#### ask for Darlene, the owner.
And to all the other moms out there - GOOD LUCK with those birtday parties!! :) Enjoy!

A great one is "hot potato". I have done this using a princess microphone (or crown or whatever is the theme)...when the music stops, the girl left holding the microphone gets out of circle. Last one remaining wins.

Simple but they LOVE red light green light, "mother may I " and pinatas.

I also LOVE doing crafts with my girls (3 and 6) My six yr old just had her "mermaid" party and we did all crafts with an underwater theme.

GREAT sites with lots of ideas.

Hope these help and HAVE FUN and keep it simple.
Good luck!
