Birthday Cake - Round Rock, TX

Does anyone know of a bakery that makes pretty cakes that taste good in the Austin area? I would like something with flowers and/or butterflies for my daughter's birthday.

What can I do next?

Hi C.,

I have a friend who has a home-based cake business and does an outstanding job! I've tasted and seen at least five different cakes of hers (showers, b-day's, etc.) and was pleased each time. Cake is moist and design is great. Very professional.

Good luck!

Try Dream Bakery off of Anderson Mill and 183. She does a great job and has a good website to look at: dreambakery.biz (I think). We had a white cake with strawberry and cream cheese layers and buttercream frosting. Everyone loved it, including my picky husband. My Mom also got a red velvet cake from there and said it was awesome. I know I've seen some of her cakes with pretty flowers on them, but you can design your own with her.

We've gotten really good and inexpensive cakes at Fantasy Cakes on Sam Bass. They can customize a cake to make it whatever you want.

Ann's Kitchen on Spicewood Springs Road has AWESOME birthday cakes. They are moist and wonderful and you have a choice of fillings between the layers. She made the most adorable lady bug cake and a bunny cake for my Grandkids birthdays. We LOVE her cakes. tt

Brittany Tolento has Creative Confections in Pflugerville. She is a stay at home mom and works out of her house. The cakes are awesome, I just tried her new peanut butter cake yesterday and she made the best cookies for my daughter's birthday party at school.

Hi - we just had some cakes from Just Desserts at MoPac and Braker - it's in the shopping strip across from Home Depot. The cakes were very good, but we did not get it decorated to our specs - just the way it came. But if you order in advance, I think they can decorate it more specifically.
There is also a place on Anderson Mill called Cakes, Chocolates & More - see www.cakeschocolatesandmore.com - that makes these fantastic 3D cakes that are incredible. Check out the website - we ordered this huge cake for an office party and with giant bugs on it (there were lots of kids at the party, so the bugs were quite a hit!). If you want something different, that is definitely the place to go!
And I was glad to see you post the question - I am always on the lookout for something special!
