How much do you want to spend? What does he like?
Air Combat USA - he can be a fighter pilot for a day.
If he likes sports, get something related to his favorite team.
Get something for you that he will like, if you know what I mean ;-)

Check out redenvelope.com. They have really nice gifts for men, some you can have personalized. They have everything from expensive to inexpensive gifts. I've gotten my husband a travel kit there, his/hers key chains, and some other things.

My strategy for buying gifts for my husband is to buy them throughout the year when I see them and just keep them hidden until his birthday or anniversary. That way I never have to scramble at the last minute to find something. If your husband mentions something make note of it so you have a list of ideas.

Hope this helps!

My husband says the best gifts can fit in his pocket. He prefers experiences, tickets, gift cards, etc. over stuff - unless it's a homemade crafty gift which he appreciates. I've given cooking classes (good anniversary gift), flight simulation, concert tickets, and gift cards. Other good ideas are go carts, old school men's barber shop (haircut, shave, facial, manicure, etc.), batting cages, etc. Good luck!

what about combining them? Give him tickets to an event on your anniversary, that takes place on his birthday?

Maybe your husband already has tools, but I got my husband a complete tool kit (Black and Decker) for a really good price from Wal-mart - he said it was the best gift he ever received - I guess it depends on what he likes or what he might need.

My husband and I are not big gift givers. This year I went to Bev Mo w/ the kids, they each choose a funky beer, purely by label, (and I steered them in the right direction) and a snack. And, I got him some swim trunks.

For our anniversary we go out to dinner. No gifts.

Tix to see his favorite band, local sports team, or a comedian. Comedy shows make for a great date night. And the event doesn't have to be the day of his birthday or anniversary. Even if it's down the road, gives him something to look forward to.

My husband is impossible to deal with, also. He buys himself whatever he wants, so I can't even think of what to get him that would be appreciated. BUT... He loves lobster. So I have love lobster flown in and we make a nice big lobster meal with chowder and the works. I give him the same thing every year. As for my husband giving ME a gift, he always books a couple nights at a local resort for the family. We play in the pool, swim in the ocean and eat the $38 breakfast buffet. That is always a real popular event in my family as well. Since you are celebrating an anniversary, you might just leave the kids with grandma! Hope these ideas help.
