Birth Control Removal Question

Just curious, but how long did it take YOU to get pregnant with number two after removing/quitting your birth control?

What can I do next?

I used the mini-pill for a year while I breastfed and Nuvaring for 5 years after giving birth to my 3rd. I quit in October and got pregnant in December, am 17 weeks along ;^) This is number 4, but I wasn't on birth control after #1 or #2.

It will depend on type of contraception used, for how long you've been taking it and your body's take on hormonal changes. I used Depo Provera and it took my body 9 months to get prego with my 3rd. But I was on the drug for 6 years, yikes! Just the thought makes me squirm. That was no bueno for my body and I'm doing natural birth planning now.
Good Luck Mamas!

About a month and my 1st was IUI after about 4 months of fertility treatments, so we were a bit surprised LOL. But, after I read up on it, discovered I was more likely to get pregnant within the first couple months of going off the pill because my hormones were more likely to be well regulated at that point vs. further down the road.

I stopped taking birth control pills three months before we wanted to conceive, and used barrier methods during those three months. Then we got pregnant the first try in January :)

I think it depends on what kind of birth control you were on. I believe the pill is the easiest and quickest form of birth control that is reversible. It should take you just 1 or 2 months. And of course, make sure to know when you are ovulating!

I stopped taking birth control in March and got pregnant that month! It took about two months with my first.

It took about 6 monthes.

I had the Mirena IUD removed early Oct and was pregnant by Christmas so less than 2 months ...
