I am trying to help my mother find a Bipolar Therapist in the North Area, preferably Broomfield, Westminster, Northglenn etc. area. We have struggled for many years to find someone to help her with little success. If anyone can share a referral it would be appreciated!

I don't know a therapist but the Drpression Workbook really helps! I have some Bipolar friends that have used it and said it was great. They have it at Barnes and Nobel.

Dr. Melanie Young is a Psychologist with lots of experience working with Bipolar. Her office is in Boulder however, but I know her and she's an excellent therapist. If her office is too far away for your mother, she may be able to recommend someone closer. I would take her recommendation as a high complement.

Hi M.

Have you ever considered Chiropractic for Bipolar disorder? We go to an excellent Chiropractor who treats a number or things including Bipolar. This is not your average Chiropractor. He wants to make you healthy and prevent disease. Not just crack your back and make it not hurt. A call or visit to the website would be VERY worth your while!! They are located at about 104th and I-25. I don't work there or am I related to Dr. Arvay, I'm just thrilled that me and my whole family (I have a 4 and 2 year old) are patients! I pray you would consider this an option. I know it would be a blessing in your life!!!

Michele,

I have a son that has early-onset bipolar. He sees a doctor in Denver. He is excellent. Children and adults need to have continued help. My son sees the doctor weekly since he was 4 years old. He is now 12. The Doctors name is Clifford Siegel. He has worked with mood disorders for over 20 years. Your mother would need to have a PPO. To get a good doctor you would need a PPO insurance.
