Hi L.,

I know an awesome waxer in Arlington that is great with "virgin" waxings.

Her name is Nina Logan and she owns Bee Smooth Brazilian Waxing. Her phone number is ###-###-#### and her email address is ____@____.com luck! I got waxed a couple of weekends ago and it really wasn't that bad.

Take a couple advil about 30 minutes before the appointment.

In downtown DC (by Faragut North) Fusion Day Spa is the greatest place for waxing. I personally like Debbi the best (especially b/c she is pretty fast). My sister swears by Carolyn and what I must say about Carolyn is that she is really really good about sterilizing -- cleaning your skin, etc so you don't end up with red bumps.

Sugarhouse Day Spa in Old Town, Alexandria... www.sugarhousedayspa.com I've been going to Marcia for 4+ years for a brazilian and she is the best. Cost is $65. Good Luck!

I'm a teacher as well and you should def do the braizilian. They get addicting as well...I did them all the time when i was in college, i dont have the money or a good place to go now.

I can't live without regular bikini waxing... (I have never done the brazilian.) The first time will hurt, but you will get used it.. and the pain lessens each time, especially if you don't wait to long. I always take a couple of advil or aleve before getting waxed. Ask for recommendations in your area.

Yes...you should def do it! I started gradually and by the third time, I got the Brazillan (or Sphynx its called where I go) and I love it that way. You do get addicted! I go to a lady in Waldorf, MD--Heidi Montgomery, Galleria Salon ###-###-####.She is very fast and gentle. It hurts but just for a minute (depends on your pain tolerence), I've never had to take anything before or after. The only con I can think of...you are supposed to wait 3 wk between waxes, so if you are going on a trip or just need a wax for a special occasion and you don't plan it right, you may not be ready for another wax! That happened to me and I had to shave..yuck!!!! I love, love, love to get bikini waxes!!! Good luck to you!

Worth the 10 minutes of discomfort if you hate shaving, the bumps and hassle. When we get closer to the pool opening, I'll go and get the bikini wax done. Then I won't need to go back for a couple of weeks and even then it will only be for a touch up. Again, worth it if you don't like shaving every day.
