Bikini Line Bumps-- What Do I Do?

Since I had my son, I have skin that is slightly stretched and sagging in my belly, groin and thighs. It's unsightly, but part of nature and I'm okay with it(on most days!).

PROBLEM is.... now when I shave my bikini line, it leaves these HUGE irritated bumps all over from the skin sagging that are so ugly and highly visible! I've tried getting swim skirts, but would feel a lot better if they were just not there!! I start mommy/tot swim class with my son on Friday, and don't want to have this!

I know they make products to help with this... any suggestions??

Thanks!

Same problem as you and many people! I haven't tried Bikini zone or any of the other products but now I will try. One other suggestion: BUy Venus Embrace shavers! Love them!! I have dark, coarse hair and would always get bumps wherever I shave but with this razor - done. They are quite expensive but well worth it for this situation. Good luck!

Instead of shaving, try Nair 4 minute hair remover (roll on in a pink container). You apply it, wait 4 -5 minutes and wipe the area clean.
You can also use bikini zone afterwards.

The Bikini Zone creme works great too. I used to have horrible bumps and this stuff works awesome. Unfortunately, I've always had to shave the bikini area unless I keep up with waxing.

You can find it in drugstores or shaving supplies aisle at
Targe, WalMart, etc.

Good luck!

There is a product called bikini zone. It helped out my daughter she always uses it after shaving and hasn't had the red bumps since. It cost's about $6.oo a tube.

This happened to me almost 15 years ago and I found an easy solution.

I shave with the grain, not against.

In other words, your hair lays down a certain direction. You must shave going in the direction it lays down. If I'd shave the opposite direction to get a closer shave, I'd suddenly have a ton of bumps everywhere and it would be sore and irritated.

It never happened until after my baby was born - and it seems odd, but my recommendation is to let the current bumps calm down (don't shave for a while until they aren't as vivid and irritated), then try shaving the same direction your hair is laying.

Also, I only use non-scented soap. I soap really well and am sure to shave very "wet" so I don't get dry rash. I also make sure to follow up every shaving with a non-perfumed lotion.

I now have beautiful skin where I shave!

Again - the secret is in making sure your skin is back to normal before you start this technique or the rash will continue.

Good luck to you!

You can try a product called "Nude". It is through a home based business called Surprise Parties. I have a friend who has a surprise parties business. Let me know if you are interested in her website info. I have used the product and so have quite a few friends it really does work.

You can use a few drops of Visine on the bumps. Works a lot like the Bikini Zone type of products.
