Wide feet run in our family .... my son has them. I buy his shoes at Stride Rite (luckily we have an outlet nearby). They make many styles in DOUBLE WIDEs... good luck

I still struggle with this problem with my daughter. Dang those little Flinstone feet!!! It can be frustrating. When she was younger I relied on Robeez (and the knock off version carried at Target). Those worked for quite a while. Crocs are also wider. Stride RIte also carried wider widths in toddler shoes, fortunately we have an outlet store near by. The worst part is that I have to invest what feels like a lot of money into toddler shoes that won't be worn for very long.

Yes, I have to vote for Stride Rite too! It is hard to pay upwards of $30 on shoes that they will only wear for a few months, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Both my kids are like this, although my 3 year old is now able to wear some Target and other brand shoes whereas at that age there was no way...so there is hope! My son is 18 mos and in the same boat. I just got scolded at STride Rite cuz I let him go too long before getting feet measured again...they told me 3 months tops. Good luck! The outlet does have good prices if you have one near tou.

Find a good old fashioned shoe store with someone (not a teenager who is
working there) to measure her foot. We have one of those stores by us,
and Mr. M does all the kids with orthopedic problems, braces, he does the
elderly. When he retires we will have to travel a bit but that is OK because
if you have shoes that fit properly you will be a happy camper. Shoes that
do not fit well can create problems. Good luck.

You have to go to Stride Rite. They have lots of sales. Don't fall for the Buy 1 get one 1/2 off sale. They just mark everything up. Go after that sale or to the outlet and you can get good ones for 35 dollars or less. I never pay more than that and we go SR all the way.

StrideRite. They are pros and will fit your child perfectly. If they do not have what you need in stock, you can order them at the StrideRite web after you have her fitted.

My younger daughter has always had feet shaped like little bricks. Like the other moms said, Stride Rite is the way to go. They have a lot of choices for wide feet. Also, sometimes Payless has shoes in wide widths as well (good if you're buying "fancy" shoes that will only be worn once or twice).

See Kai Run. They run wide. Plus they are very soft and flexible, pretty close to barefoot (which is best).

Have you looked at Pedipeds? My son's wide feet fit really well in there.

Stride Rite Outlet is where we get all of our boys shoes for this same reason. They often have buy one get one half off, so it is much less than the Stride Rite stores. There is one in Concord Mills Mall, and if you lookup the outlet online you can see if there is one closer to you.

I've seen wide width shoes at Payless, have you tried there? You can also order off their website, which might have a bigger selection of styles to choose from.

we had the same problem... I found sketchers made a wider shoe .. it's those ones that look like a "skater shoe" the older kids wear them but they come in toddler sizes too.. I like ZAPPOS because you can order a bunch of shoes and return what you can't use for free.. it's free shipping each each and they make it sooooooooooooo easy to return things.. love them!
