Go to rainbow river and tube down it. Time to relax and time to talk. Get a place near by or camp and make smores with a bottle of wine. I normally would be all for the canoeing, but it is hot and being hot and tired tends to make us snip at each other doesn't it? Any beach and just get a room. No phones or tv is most important. Good luck and you should know you have a good man because he is working through this with you, I think that is very rare!

HI G.,
If the weather cooperates, you can go on the Beach or any park (Lettuce Lake has boardwalks, and benches to sit and watch the nature -- I am sure you can check the parks that is closer to you ..). I love nature and even just to sit there together in silence has more meaning than non stop talking (I am a chatter box otherwise .. LOL..). I love sitting on the beach and watching sunset. If a lot of action is happening, like Busch Gardens, then it is hard to relax and focus on each other .. just my opinion.
Oh, if you are an indoor action person, then Bowling can be fun too.
I hope you find something to do that you both like.

Take a picnic lunch to the beach, local park or also check out Gulstream Polo in Boynton ###-###-####...it's free during practice season and a fabulous event for all, including the dog!

go to a springs and rent a canoe, something about paddling with a partner; you both have to go in the same direction. I have my fondest memories of canoeing with the kids in life vests sitting in the middle. and its cheap, pack a picnic and smaller cooler. fun, fun

We went to Cocoa Beach last July and had a great time. My husband had a boogie board and our boys took turns laying on it as my husband pulled it along the beach where there was about an inch or 2 of water so it is easy to pull. We also spent sometime playing in the sand. My husband and I made sure that we focused on the kids and each other - no magazines, books, or TV (except the kids movies at night).

We just took a vacation down to Venice Beach. We got an inexpensive hotel room and only stayed 2 nights. The room had a fridge, sink and microwave, so we brought food to eat in the room. We spent the rest of the time going to the beach for a couple of hours, returning to the room and eating together, then going to the store and getting some fund dessert (ours was ice cream) and making sunday together. We mostly just hung out together with not time to be somewhere, no one to visit, just us and time without chores, responsibilities or anything to distract us. My husband even participated in everything we did, even going to the store (he doesn't normally do this). We all agreed this was our best vacation and we only spent $250! The time together was all we needed. I hope this helps.

if there is a Dave and Busters around, go there! So much fun with the arcade games, bowling, etc. Go to a local comedy club and have some laughs together. Medieval Times is awesome. Fairs or festivals can be fun as well.
You could sign up for some kind of class together... cooking, dancing, painting, etc. The big parks are a lot of fun, but you don't really bond during the outing.
You'll figure something out. Don't put too much pressure on yourself or him and just enjoy the time together.
